Tate Icasa (9:06 PM): also, when Elle is dorm mates with River?
Tate Icasa (9:06 PM): Elle is the name she's using when she responds to John's SOS
Tate Icasa (9:06 PM): surely it's not her real name
Tate Icasa (9:07 PM): so what name was she using back at the University?
Slashy (9:07 PM): Lara
Tate Icasa (9:19 PM): so, you've thought about this before, then, does that mean we're going to get to see Lara at some point?
Slashy (9:19 PM): maybe when the Time Lords drop River off at the University post- trinity regeneration
Tate Icasa (9:20 PM): but obviously the Time Lords either don't see her, or don't recognize her
Tate Icasa (9:23 PM): of course, now I sort of want to see River at TWS
Slashy (9:23 PM): . . .I must get her there
Slashy (9:23 PM): at some point AFTER the telepathic whiplash
Slashy (9:24 PM): so that John is free but Elle is not
Slashy (9:24 PM): is it wrong that I'm now thinking of River/Lara and/or River/Elle?
Tate Icasa (9:24 PM): considering the fucked-upness of the other relationships around here, I'm thinking that MUST exist
Tate Icasa (9:25 PM): and if River showed up at TWS, she and Elle would SO get together
Tate Icasa (9:25 PM): I wonder if Twelve would be jealous?
Slashy (9:25 PM): well, he does have the Master, after all
Slashy (9:25 PM): but knowing him, yeah, he will be
Slashy (9:26 PM): this must be early in River's personal timeline. Like, even before the trinity regeneration. While she and Lara are still living together.
Slashy (9:26 PM): And, y'know, sleeping together. Cos', obviously.
Tate Icasa (9:27 PM): right. so how does River of River'n'Lara end up in TWS?
Slashy (9:27 PM): that's a very good question
Slashy (9:27 PM): it must be to do with the Time Lords
Slashy (9:27 PM): . . .if I leave Susan and the Master being babysat by Romana on New Gallifrey
Slashy (9:28 PM): then Twelve can take River for Picnic at Asgard
Slashy (9:28 PM): and on his way back get a mauve signal from TWS
Tate Icasa (9:28 PM): . . .I'm not sure which I'm more amused by, Romana trying to babysit the Master on New Gallifrey, or TWS actually sending out an SOS
Slashy (9:28 PM): it's an accident
Slashy (9:28 PM): oopsies, pushed that button by mistake
Slashy (9:29 PM): but of course Twelve, being the Doctor, responds
Tate Icasa (9:29 PM): of course
Tate Icasa (9:29 PM): and there's Elle. And River. And watch how that goes.
Slashy (9:29 PM): it goes pretty
Tate Icasa (9:30 PM): okay, so, taking a step backwards for a bit
Tate Icasa (9:31 PM): when Jack helps Faith out, you mentioned wanting to use a device like the one that brought humanDonna back
Tate Icasa (9:32 PM): so does that mean Faith now has an expiration date?
Tate Icasa (9:32 PM): and ages like a normal person?
Slashy (9:33 PM): . . .YES
Slashy (9:33 PM): oh god, she's going to have to go through puberty
Slashy (9:33 PM): around JACK
Slashy (9:33 PM): fuck
Slashy (9:34 PM): . . .she's physically twelve years old. Where does she live? Who is her "legal guardian"?
Tate Icasa (9:35 PM): I'm gonna go out a limb here and say "NOT JACK"
Slashy (9:35 PM): maybe she lives with the clones?
Tate Icasa (9:35 PM): I'm imagining them trying to raise a kid
Tate Icasa (9:36 PM): even though I know that Faith is too old to actually be considered a kid
Slashy (9:36 PM): . . .do you suppose they're going to send her to school?
Tate Icasa (9:36 PM): can they legally get away with NOT sending her to school?
Slashy (9:37 PM): they are TORCHWOOD
Tate Icasa (9:37 PM): that doesn't really mean anything
Slashy (9:37 PM): guess they have to send her to school then
Slashy (9:38 PM): or, y'know, she lives in TWS HQ and never goes outside
Tate Icasa (9:38 PM): . . .Nick was a professor once. Do they allow homeschooling in Britain?
Slashy (9:39 PM): . . .yeah, homeschooling is probably for the best
Slashy (9:39 PM): and the clones have totally adopted her
Slashy (9:39 PM): for, you know, legal purposes
Tate Icasa (9:49 PM): where do you suppose Time Agent Sinclair went after TOTALLY ABANDONING Helen in the 17th century?
Slashy (9:49 PM): oh, he's turn up again, I'm sure
Slashy (9:49 PM): but I have no idea about his whereabouts
Slashy (9:50 PM): also, I'm sure that Tessa-san and I decided Sinclair would be played by Martin Shaw, but my internet decided to destroy that conversation
Tate Icasa (9:53 PM): you really need to get into Elle and Sinclairs motivations more
Tate Icasa (9:53 PM): Lydia and Jamie, not having done any psychotic things, I don't care so much what goes on in their heads
Slashy (9:58 PM): since Jamie clearly felt no guilt about going off with Tesla, do you think Lydia has had "flings" with her collegues?
Tate Icasa (9:59 PM): Lydia probably introduced Jenny to the concept of lesbianism
Tate Icasa (9:59 PM): . . .the Doctor doesn't know this, obviously
Slashy (9:59 PM): see, I've always thought that Lydia had a thing for Lady Christina
Slashy (9:59 PM): of course, we don't know anything about Lady Christina's preferences
Slashy (10:00 PM): the only thing we do know is that she liked Ten, and well, that's not helpful in the slightest
Tate Icasa (10:00 PM): however, it's not as unhelpful as saying she likes Jack
Slashy (10:00 PM): mas Yeah
-
Slashy (10:50 PM): . . .why does telepathic whiplash wipe the Time Lords memories, but only disconnects all the other telepaths?
Rachel T (10:50 PM): Because Time Lords are special.
Slashy (10:54 PM): so, after the domestic Time Lords drop River off at the University, what do they do?
Rachel T (10:55 PM): Uh...they're obviously domestic...uhm....
Slashy (10:57 PM): . . .how about, after the domestic Time Lords leave TWG, what does TWG do?
Slashy (10:57 PM): other than throw a party
Rachel T (10:57 PM): Get attacked by evil alien-knights?
Slashy (10:58 PM): who are attacking because?
Rachel T (10:58 PM): They're trying to gain more land. And Earth is land.
Slashy (11:01 PM): okay, so back at TWS, what's going on with Jack'n'John?
Rachel T (11:02 PM): They're being gay, obvs. John is trying to make Jack try a relationship with him.
Rachel T (11:02 PM): Well.
Rachel T (11:02 PM): Relationship.
Rachel T (11:02 PM): Whatever passes for one for those two.
Slashy (11:02 PM): ah, 51st century sexual politics
Slashy (11:04 PM): so Jack'n'John are okay. What's up with Elle now? Surely I can get her reformed somehow.
Slashy (11:04 PM): or, y'know, fake reformed and escaped
Slashy (11:05 PM): that would be preferable, what with the lack of villains
Rachel T (11:05 PM): fake reformed, yeah.
Slashy (11:05 PM): well, she's had that device on for a while now, and unlike John hasn't been a jerk about it, so I guess Jack could assume she can be trusted?
Slashy (11:06 PM): and she'll stick around for a while, to, y'know, lure them into a false sense of security
Slashy (11:06 PM): and then she'll steal something and make an escape
Slashy (11:07 PM): of course, she'll accidentally set off the alert that sends the Time Lords and early River to TWS
Slashy (11:07 PM): course, now I have to get early River on the Tardis
Slashy (11:07 PM): before I can go any further
Slashy (11:08 PM): and since a later version of River just left, the Tardis MUST go at least ONE other place first, yeah?
Slashy (11:09 PM): so, where do they go?
Rachel T (11:14 PM): I'm ignoring Moment so as to do my biology, but please pass this on: "The
Tardis is a time machine. You can visit New Gallifrey at ANY POINT in the future."
Slashy (11:14 PM): . . .why didn't I think of that?
Slashy (11:17 PM): so the domestic Time Lords end up on New Gallifrey in. . .er, the 25th century?
Slashy (11:17 PM): that gives Romana plenty of time to set up a government and a decent population
Slashy (11:17 PM): I imagine Astrid is still around, being incorporeal blue sparklies
Slashy (11:17 PM): what about Andy?
Rachel T (11:18 PM): She took Andy home?
Slashy (11:19 PM): When did she do that?
Rachel T (11:19 PM): Before he died?
Slashy (11:19 PM): well, obviously
Slashy (11:20 PM): I meant specifically
Slashy (11:22 PM): is Andy/Romana a possibility I can get away with?
Rachel T (11:22 PM): Yes please
Slashy (11:23 PM): so, how old is Andy when she takes him home?
Rachel T (11:23 PM): oldish?
Slashy (11:35 PM): . . .Romana, having learned from the Doctor, will leave Andy a few months after he left regardless of how many years it's been for him, won't she?
Slashy (11:36 PM): think he's old enough to retire?
Rachel T (11:38 PM): Sure.
Slashy (11:38 PM): now, how does Torchwood deal with that?
Slashy (11:39 PM): is it like retirement from UNIT, where they can still send you to Peru with absolutely no notice?
Rachel T (11:40 PM): Yeah, pretty much.
Slashy (11:40 PM): so, where does Andy go once he arrives?
Slashy (11:40 PM): cos he HAS been gone long enough for his apartment to have been cleared out
Rachel T (11:43 PM): A different flat. A nicer one.
Slashy (11:44 PM): and he affords this how?
Rachel T (11:45 PM): He didn't clear out his bank account before he left.
Slashy (11:48 PM): so, the domestic Time Lords arrive on New Gallifrey at some point. Why IS Astrid still hanging around?
Rachel T (11:48 PM): She likes it there?
Slashy (11:49 PM): what's she DOING, tho?
Rachel T (11:49 PM): helping out in some way?
Slashy (11:51 PM): that's a good idea. but how do incorporeal blue sparklies help Romana?
Rachel T (11:52 PM): Astrid is her secretary?
Slashy (11:53 PM): now, surely, Romana has regenerated at least once since the foundation of New Gallifrey, yes?
Slashy (11:53 PM): I mean, it's been three hundred years
Slashy (11:54 PM): so, she needs a new face
Slashy (11:56 PM): so, the domestic Time Lords are invited to New Gallifrey
Slashy (11:56 PM): what for?
Rachel T (11:57 PM): To either get medals or a stern talking to. Is Susan on New Gallifrey already? Maybe Romana wants to take her because the Doctor and the Master are unfit to raise a young Time Lady.
Rachel T (11:57 PM): Well, younger, anyway.
Slashy (11:57 PM): that must be it
Slashy (11:57 PM): I wonder if Romana wants Jenny too?
Rachel T (11:58 PM): Prolly
Slashy (11:58 PM): and, er, Donna
Slashy (11:58 PM): she's going to have more difficulty getting them than she is getting Susan
Slashy (11:59 PM): although, I suppose, she could get Susan, and then send SUSAN through the CDG to get Jenny and Donna. . .
Slashy (11:59 PM): that would make sense
Rachel T (11:59 PM): Yeah
Slashy (12:00 AM): . . .I WANT to make the Doctor and the Master have a Gallifreyan wedding, at Romana's insistence, but I just can't see them agreeing to that
Rachel T (12:00 AM): It would have to be something ridiculous. Maybe she, Susan, and Jenny trick them into it?
Slashy (12:01 AM): cos Donna wouldn't help?
Slashy (12:01 AM): and how do you trick someone into a wedding?
Rachel T (12:02 AM): I'm not sure.
Rachel T (12:02 AM): I'm picturing some kind of romantic comedy, though.
Slashy (12:02 AM): so, Romana takes Susan away from them
Slashy (12:03 AM): they visit early River and visit TWS because of Elle
Slashy (12:03 AM): then they go back to New Gallifrey, which now has Jenny and Donna
Slashy (12:03 AM): and are tricked into a wedding
Slashy (12:03 AM): whereupon the Doctor has a freak out and feels the need to immediately go and propose to River
Slashy (12:04 AM): I imagine the Master will not take this well
Rachel T (12:04 AM): Nope.
Slashy (12:04 AM): what do you think he'll DO?
Rachel T (12:05 AM): Possibly go evil again briefly?
Rachel T (12:05 AM): He doesn't do well when he's not the centre of the Doctor's attention
Slashy (12:05 AM): he really doesn't
Slashy (12:06 AM): so, what evil thing does he do?
Slashy (12:07 AM): it should be bad enough for the Doctor to leave him on New Gallifrey for a bit
Slashy (12:07 AM): so that he take River for a Picnic At Asgard
Rachel T (12:07 AM): Yeah.
Slashy (12:08 AM): and also cos that will do terrible things to the Master's psyche
Slashy (12:08 AM): so, really need to figure out what he does
Slashy (12:08 AM): that's that bad
Slashy (12:08 AM): considering what he's ALREADY done
Rachel T (12:08 AM): Maybe he can have some counseling sessions?
Slashy (12:09 AM): *giggle* I'm now imagining Astrid as his therapist
Slashy (12:11 AM): so, again, what does he DO?
Slashy (12:12 AM): so, what can the Master do that would be WORSE than TTYNW, tEoT, and everything he's done in the crossoververse so far?
Slashy (12:22 AM): I suppose he couldn't, I don't know, give Jack his memories of that time they totally used him to save the Master's life and then dumped him on the street. That would be bad. Not EVIL evil, but I can't imagine anyone would be happy about it.
Rachel T (12:26 AM): And you totally should do that
Slashy (12:27 AM): so, before the Doctor drags the Master to New Gallifrey and leaves him there, how does Jack react?
Rachel T (12:28 AM): Jack is like "wuh, whuh, whuh... *wibble*"
Rachel T (12:28 AM): And cuddles John?
Slashy (12:28 AM): . . .why do I get the feeling John is going to try to shoot the Time Lords?
Rachel T (12:28 AM): Because John is v posessive. Because John is the human version of the Master, etc, etc
Slashy (12:29 AM): ah, parallelism
Slashy (12:30 AM): so clearly both Time Lords escape without regenerating
Slashy (12:31 AM): HOW do both Time Lords escape without regenerating?
Rachel T (12:32 AM): cloneNick and cloneStephen?
Slashy (12:32 AM): . . .cos all of TWS is just standing around watching this?
Slashy (12:32 AM): because?
Slashy (12:32 AM): don't they have JOBS?
Rachel T (12:33 AM): John gets distracted? Because Jack doesn't want the Doctor dead, he does or says something to get John's attention.
Slashy (12:33 AM): right, okay
Slashy (12:34 AM): and then the Time Lords leave, obviously, and I imagine the Doctor doesn't come back for a while
Slashy (12:35 AM): so, after dropping the Master off on New Gallifrey, the Doctor takes River for the Picnic At Asgard
Slashy (12:35 AM): then what?
Rachel T (12:35 AM): The Master is all pouty for a while.
Slashy (12:36 AM): on New Gallifrey, where Romana has to put up with him
Slashy (12:36 AM): until the Doctor finally comes back for him
Slashy (12:36 AM): how much do you wanna bet the Doctor comes back for him because ROMANA asks him to?
Rachel T (12:37 AM): as the doctor is the LEAST responsible person in the universe, I'd say that's likely
Slashy (12:41 AM): okay, so before Romana makes him come back for the Master, but after the Picnic At Asgard
Slashy (12:41 AM): surely the Doctor does SOMETHING?
Slashy (12:42 AM): okay, so, immediately following Picnic At Asgard. . .does he take River home right away?
Rachel T (12:42 AM): Nah.
Rachel T (12:43 AM): My first thought was that they ought to visit the Ood, but bad things happen when they visit the ood
Slashy (12:44 AM): . . .I wonder if there are still slave Ood somewhere
Slashy (12:44 AM): ones that didn't get sent back, because some human are just jerks
Slashy (12:45 AM): now, the telepathic dampener thing that was on the Ood brain, it would have to be around the individual Ood in order for this to be possible
Slashy (12:46 AM): so some human out there has telepathic dampener technology
Slashy (12:46 AM): and slave Ood
Slashy (12:46 AM): this is not a good combination
Slashy (12:46 AM): I wonder what they're using the slave Ood for?
Slashy (12:49 AM): so, some black market thing, where they're using slave Ood as, what, messengers?
Slashy (12:49 AM): or smuggling drugs in their translators, I guess
Slashy (12:49 AM): various shady black market things
Slashy (12:50 AM): and Twelve and River stumble upon this
Slashy (12:50 AM): because they have terrible luck
Slashy (12:50 AM): how many slave Ood do you think there are?
Rachel T (12:51 AM): maybe 20
Slashy (12:51 AM): some of them are going to die
Slashy (12:51 AM): the ones who don't, the Doctor and River will bring to the Ood planet
Slashy (12:52 AM): is it weird that I want one of the newly freed Ood to stay on the Tardis as Twelves companion?
Rachel T (12:52 AM): no
Slashy (12:53 AM): okay, so, Ood companion needs a name
Slashy (12:54 AM): do you suppose it has one?
Rachel T (12:55 AM): do the ood have names?
Slashy (12:55 AM): er. . .well, Ood Sigma did, and the Ood who died in the snow.
Slashy (12:55 AM): of course, those names were given to them by the evil humans
Slashy (12:58 AM): so I guess the Ood companion gets to pick it's own name
Slashy (12:58 AM): which means I still need a name to refer to it as
Rachel T (1:00 AM): George.
Slashy (1:01 AM): and when the Doctor finally returns to New Gallifrey for the Master, what is his reaction to George?
Rachel T (1:01 AM): wtf?
Slashy (1:02 AM): okay, so after acquiring George. . .River goes home yet?
Slashy (1:02 AM): or Twelve, River, and George go someplace?
Rachel T (1:03 AM): river goes home, I think. Unless you want to keep her around and you have an idea for her
Slashy (1:03 AM): nope, no reason to keep her around
Slashy (1:03 AM): so, where do Twelve and George go before they head back to New Gallifrey?
Slashy (1:05 AM): Twelve and George MUST go someplace. . .
Slashy (1:05 AM): do you suppose they go to TWG or SJA?
Slashy (1:05 AM): to be honest, I want to see Gwen's face when she meets an Ood
Rachel T (1:06 AM): twg. twelve needs gwens advice on how to deal with jack cos shes been doing so longer
Rachel T (1:06 AM): and jack is still sadface and the doctor totally knows it
Slashy (1:06 AM): like Gwen isn't going to be morally indignant on Jack's behalf
Slashy (1:06 AM): Doc sure called that one wrong
Slashy (1:07 AM): he is to be slapped, yes?
Rachel T (1:07 AM): oh, big time
Slashy (1:08 AM): so, what advice does Gwen give him?
Rachel T (1:09 AM): "Say your sorry and that you love him, and never ever do that again because it's a real dick move."
Rachel T (1:09 AM): Or something along those lines.
Slashy (1:10 AM): god, I could insert some Very Consent Issue Twelve/Jack there, couldn't I?
Rachel T (1:10 AM): yeah.
Slashy (1:11 AM): and the Romana calls and is all "Seriously, I can't deal with him. Get him off my planet. NOW."
Slashy (1:12 AM): so Twelve and George go and get the Master
Slashy (1:12 AM): what then?
Rachel T (1:12 AM): drugs should be involved.
Rachel T (1:14 AM): they go to a planet with a nitrous oxide atmosphere. since they don't need to breathe, it's no big deal, but they're in the habit of doing so, so first breath...
Slashy (1:16 AM): and I am so tempted to change the atmosphere of that planet to something more along the lines of "truth serum". . .
Slashy (1:16 AM): because I can't imagine that would go well
Rachel T (1:17 AM): do it
Slashy (1:17 AM): how would that GO for them?
Rachel T (1:18 AM): badly. the master would be very embarrassed later, if he remembered.
Slashy (1:19 AM): well, of course he would
Slashy (1:19 AM): would I wipe their memories of this?
Slashy (1:20 AM): George is going to realize what a pile of crazy he's in and run back to the Ood planet, right?
Slashy (1:21 AM): the Tardis is going to be a very awkward place for a while
Slashy (1:21 AM): but how much do you wanna bet she landed them there on purpose?
Rachel T (1:22 AM): totally did
Slashy (1:22 AM): so, on the Now Very Awkward Domestic Tardis. . .
Slashy (1:22 AM): what next?
Rachel T (1:23 AM): save a planet
Slashy (1:23 AM): what planet, and what's it in danger from?
Rachel T (1:25 AM): overrun by evil sentient plants. any random planet
Slashy (1:26 AM): and how do we get rid of evil sentient planets? Also, if it's overrun, are there any natives left?
Rachel T (1:26 AM): some
Rachel T (1:28 AM): talking to them. the master wants to use herbicide, but, well. It's the doctor.
Slashy (1:34 AM): so, evil sentient plants decided to live in harmony with not-evil natives
Slashy (1:34 AM): and then the Doctor and the Master leave this planet
Slashy (1:34 AM): is still awkward on domestic Tardis?
Rachel T (1:35 AM): yes.
Slashy (1:35 AM): gonna have to remedy that at some point
Slashy (1:35 AM): where do the awkward domestics head to next?
Rachel T (1:37 AM): oceanliner on a planet that is mostly ocean? With a terrorist plot to sink it?
Slashy (1:38 AM): of course there is a terrorist plot to sink it
Slashy (1:38 AM): because they couldn't POSSIBLY to somewhere nice and NOT nearly be killed
Slashy (1:39 AM): okay, but instead of an oceanliner, it should be one of those Lilypad environmentalist things
Slashy (1:40 AM):
vincent.callebaut.org/page1-img-lilypad.htmlSlashy (1:40 AM): this thing
Slashy (1:47 AM): so, they stop the Lilypad from sinking, obviously. Is still awkward?
Rachel T (1:47 AM): Uh, no. They work out their issues.
Slashy (1:49 AM): what now?
Slashy (1:52 AM): do they go back to Earth?
Slashy (1:52 AM): so, which Torchwood do they end up at?
Rachel T (1:53 AM): TWS
Slashy (1:53 AM): oh, this is going to go well
Slashy (1:53 AM): what are they at TWS for?
Rachel T (1:54 AM): A distress beacon is coming from one of the artefacts.
Slashy (1:55 AM): and TWS can't deal with this on their own because?
Rachel T (1:55 AM): They don't recognise it as such.
Slashy (1:56 AM): and what is it going to do if left untended to?
Rachel T (1:56 AM): self destruct.
Slashy (1:57 AM): so they show up and save the day
Slashy (1:57 AM): what does TWS think about all this?
Slashy (1:57 AM): in particular Jack'n'John
Rachel T (1:58 AM): Jack is still sadpanda, and John is still murderous.
Slashy (2:00 AM): oh, this is not going to go well
Slashy (2:00 AM): what stops John from killing them on sight?
Rachel T (2:00 AM): He's not there immediately, cloneNick and cloneStephen are?
Slashy (2:00 AM): that's probably for the best, yeah
Slashy (2:03 AM): so where is John, if he's not there immediately?
Rachel T (2:03 AM): He and Jack are out doing...something. Sex, collecting space junk, whatever. Maybe both.
Slashy (2:04 AM): so when do they show up? before or after the domestics turn off the self-destruct?
Rachel T (2:05 AM): after. the doctor was so hoping to get out of there before they showed up.
Slashy (2:06 AM): like that was ever gonna happen
Slashy (2:06 AM): so when Jack and John DO show up, what do they DO?
Rachel T (2:07 AM): John has no ammo left in his gun and Jack is very sad and Disappointed.
Slashy (2:08 AM): where did John's ammo go?
Rachel T (2:09 AM): shooting things, of course. Possibly the space junk. It may have been very evil.
Slashy (2:10 AM): and how do the domestics get out of this pile of awkward?
Rachel T (2:11 AM): The Doctor actually gives Jack something that's almost a genuine, heartfelt apology that has something similar to the words "I'm sorry I've been treating you like an expendable piece of shit for the last couple years" in it.
Slashy (2:11 AM): "last couple years" is a bit of an understatement there
Slashy (2:13 AM): Jack'n'John and the domestics really need to work out their issues at some point
Slashy (2:13 AM): although I'm sure the clones, Faith, and Elle are amused as hell
Rachel T (2:14 AM): It would probably be better for their collective mental health in the long run.
Slashy (2:14 AM): and how do they do that, do you suppose?
Rachel T (2:15 AM): They go to Astrid, the therapist?
Slashy (2:15 AM): *giggle* And they would think of this because?
Slashy (2:15 AM): remember who we're talking about here
Slashy (2:15 AM): they need to have the sense smacked into them
Rachel T (2:16 AM): One of the girls makes them.
Slashy (2:16 AM): preferably Gwen
Slashy (2:16 AM): Martha is definitely involved
Rachel T (2:16 AM): Yes.
Slashy (2:16 AM): now all we have to do is get one of the girls to NOTICE that the domestics are here
Rachel T (2:17 AM): One of the clones or Faith tells Gwen?
Slashy (2:17 AM): I'm imagining Faith calling her up
Slashy (2:18 AM): now, who is it in TWG who has the VM?
Slashy (2:19 AM): QLSam has a VM
Slashy (2:19 AM): but I don't think they want to send him to deal with the domestics
Rachel T (2:20 AM): No.
Rachel T (2:20 AM): Doesn't Jack had a VM, still?
Slashy (2:20 AM): yes
Slashy (2:20 AM): and Martha
Slashy (2:20 AM): and Handy
Slashy (2:20 AM): Lydia
Slashy (2:20 AM): Jamie
Slashy (2:20 AM): Sinclair
Slashy (2:21 AM): so, who does Gwen send to TWS to deal with the domestics
Rachel T (2:22 AM): herself?
Rachel T (2:22 AM): maybe she asks Martha to go with her?
Slashy (2:22 AM): . . .she would call Martha, since Martha has a VM, and have her pick her up
Slashy (2:22 AM): this being before the domestics finish disabling the self-destruct
Slashy (2:23 AM): obviously Faith calling at any other time would be too late
Slashy (2:23 AM): and Gwen smacks them all right?
Slashy (2:23 AM): and then tells them they need to get some form of psychiatric help
Rachel T (2:23 AM): All of them involved.
Slashy (2:23 AM): and then when they refuse. . .
Rachel T (2:24 AM): headsmacks, all around
Slashy (2:24 AM): and then she marches them into the Tardis, intending to make them go to New Gallifrey
Slashy (2:24 AM): of course, the Tardis has other ideas
Slashy (2:25 AM): so, where does the Tardis take them?
Rachel T (2:25 AM): ever read 1984?
Rachel T (2:26 AM): epic adventures on a planet like that, only with aliens.
Rachel T (2:26 AM): Who practice a strict "no visitors" policy. And impound the Tardis.
Slashy (2:27 AM): mm. so, how do the domestics, Jack'n'John, and Gwen'n'Martha get off the 1984 planet?
Slashy (2:27 AM): and can we give this planet a name, for referencing purposes?
Rachel T (2:28 AM): they overthrow the government, of course.
Rachel T (2:28 AM): Isten.
Slashy (2:28 AM): okay, and they overthrow the government of Isten how?
Slashy (2:29 AM): because surely they're imprisoned?
Slashy (2:29 AM): seperately?
Rachel T (2:29 AM): they escape.
Slashy (2:31 AM): so, who DOES escape first?
Rachel T (2:32 AM): hmm...The Doctor or the Master, probably, then Jack.
Rachel T (2:32 AM): Or maybe John.
Slashy (2:32 AM): are the women imprisoned in a different place?
Rachel T (2:33 AM): different building, yeah.
Slashy (2:33 AM): now, the Doctor, if he escaped first, would never try to leave Jack'n'John behind
Slashy (2:33 AM): the Master would
Rachel T (2:33 AM): right
Slashy (2:34 AM): likewise, John would so want to leave the domestics behind
Slashy (2:34 AM): but Jack wouldn't let him
Slashy (2:34 AM): there are no girls around to yell at them for being Ridiculously Petty
Slashy (2:35 AM): so the guys all get out and have to go find the girls
Slashy (2:35 AM): and overthrow the government
Slashy (2:35 AM): there are so many of them, splitting up seems wise
Slashy (2:35 AM): except that it Will Not Help
Slashy (2:35 AM): of course, that means they now need to establish who is in charge
Rachel T (2:35 AM): ...I'm picturing Gwen with John and the Master, who, by the time they're done, all want to kill each other.
Rachel T (2:36 AM): The Doctor, obviously, but Gwen for the girls before the two groups meet up.
Slashy (2:37 AM): so how do we establish that the Doctor is in charge?
Slashy (2:37 AM): because, let's be honest, NONE of the other guys are really all that willing to accept his authority on a GOOD day
Slashy (2:37 AM): which this is clearly NOT
Rachel T (2:38 AM): Well, Jack. He usually is. And is John still Stolkholmy at this point, or is he just listening now?
Rachel T (2:38 AM): or neither?
Slashy (2:39 AM): well, he and Jack have a telepathic link now
Slashy (2:39 AM): also, at this point, Jack being willing to follow the Doctor's authority? not as much a given as it usually is, considering
Rachel T (2:39 AM): it might just be habit.
Rachel T (2:42 AM): they're just gonna listen to him.
Rachel T (2:42 AM): He's the Doctor. Even people who don't like him listen to him.
Rachel T (2:43 AM): They bitch, but they usually listen.
Slashy (2:44 AM): so, they go get the girls out, and Gwen takes charge
Slashy (2:44 AM): which is good, because it's so much less confusing
Slashy (2:45 AM): the Master and John are NEVER going to get along, are they?
Slashy (2:45 AM): no matter what I do
Slashy (2:45 AM): I can fix every other relationship up to it's least awkward state
Slashy (2:45 AM): eventually
Slashy (2:45 AM): with work
Rachel T (2:46 AM): They are going to hate each other forever.
Slashy (2:46 AM): and I hold that if the Master and John had met under circumstances that weren't, um, what they WERE, they could have been terrifying allies
Rachel T (2:47 AM): Seriously--they split up, Gwen needs to be in charge of the two of them.
Slashy (2:47 AM): poor Gwen
Slashy (2:48 AM): see, Gwen, she's going to want to kill them both, and they're going to want to kill each other, and it's gonna be very angry and terrifying
Slashy (2:48 AM): but Martha is stuck with the Awkward
Rachel T (2:49 AM): It's so much worse.
Slashy (2:49 AM): and she's going to hear so many things she never wanted to know
Slashy (2:49 AM): okay, so, they've split up
Slashy (2:49 AM): which group does what?
Rachel T (2:50 AM): The Doctor, Martha, and Jack go to hijack the mass media of the planet. Slashy (2:51 AM): . . .considering that one of them has to bring down the government and the other has to go get the Tardis, we've split them up in the least helpful way ever
Rachel T (2:51 AM): Gwen, the Master, and John go to find the tardis.
Slashy (2:51 AM): do you trust the Master with the Tardis? Really?
Rachel T (2:52 AM): Gwen and John are there. I'm pretty sure they can hold him down if they have to.
Slashy (2:52 AM): and then who's gonna pilot the damn thing?
Rachel T (2:52 AM): The Master. Gwen lets John be all threatening and stuff.
Slashy (2:53 AM): oh the ways in which this could go horribly wrong
Slashy (2:53 AM): okay, so they get the Tardis, and bring it to the other group
Slashy (2:54 AM): have Jack and the Doctor worked through their issues?
Rachel T (2:54 AM): to the extent they can.
Slashy (2:58 AM): so, the government is toppled, they escape the planet
Slashy (2:58 AM): are they still aiming for New Gallifrey?
Rachel T (2:59 AM): Yes, but now less for therapy and more because the non-domestics want to see New Gallifrey
Slashy (3:00 AM): like they don't still technically need therapy
Slashy (3:00 AM): do they actually make it to New Gallifrey this time?
Rachel T (3:00 AM): sure
Slashy (3:03 AM): she does kick them off the planet right?
Slashy (3:04 AM): because she does NOT want to deal with them?
Rachel T (3:04 AM): Pretty much.
Slashy (3:04 AM): and they head back to Earth
Slashy (3:05 AM): do they actually make it to Earth? in the place and time they are aiming for?
Rachel T (3:05 AM): Not when or where they're aiming for.
Slashy (3:05 AM): so, when and where do they end up?
Slashy (3:06 AM): also, poor girls
Slashy (3:07 AM): do you suppose they could just go "y'know what, we don't care anymore" and VM their way home?
Rachel T (3:07 AM): Somewhere in Russia. Mid 23rd century. Big, alien, pig-dogs.
Rachel T (3:07 AM): They could.
Slashy (3:08 AM): ooh, the 23rd century
Slashy (3:08 AM): what are pig-dogs doing on Earth?
Rachel T (3:09 AM): ship transporting them for food/entertainment/whatever crashes. Crew flees. pig-dogs roam free in siberia. UNIT has either been disbanded or hasn't noticed yet.
Slashy (3:10 AM): that last one is so much more likely
Slashy (3:10 AM): so the domestics and Jack'n'John have to round up the pig-dogs
Slashy (3:10 AM): and find the crew
Slashy (3:10 AM): and the girls have skipped back to where they're meant to be
Slashy (3:11 AM): and informed TWS that Jack'n'John will be back. . .eventually
Rachel T (3:11 AM): Which means the Master and John are trying to subtly kill each other.
Slashy (3:11 AM): . . ."Oops, I didn't mean to leave the pig-dog pen unlocked."
Slashy (3:11 AM): okay, so, more subtle than that
Slashy (3:11 AM): because I do understand the concept
Rachel T (3:11 AM): "Watch out for that overhang--oops."
Slashy (3:12 AM): I wonder what the sane. . .-er halfs of these couples think of this
Rachel T (3:12 AM): Jack will, at some point, suggest they have hate!sex.
Slashy (3:13 AM): . . .will they listen?
Slashy (3:13 AM): and what does the Doctor think of this suggestion?
Rachel T (3:13 AM): *facepalm* says the Doctor. John likes the idea. the Master, probably not so much.
Rachel T (3:13 AM): Maybe if it would make the doctor jealous.
Slashy (3:13 AM): it so would
Slashy (3:14 AM): because the Doctor, despite the bigamy he is currently practicing, is the jealous type
Rachel T (3:14 AM): He is.
Slashy (3:15 AM): so, do they have hate!sex?
Rachel T (3:15 AM): Yes.
Slashy (3:15 AM): and the fallout from this?
Rachel T (3:16 AM): They still hate each other.
Slashy (3:16 AM): and their SOs?
Rachel T (3:16 AM): Have come to no form of understanding.
Rachel T (3:16 AM): And the Doctor is furious and trying to ignore all three of them.
Slashy (3:16 AM): I want to describe him as tetchy
Slashy (3:17 AM): and how are they taking the Doctor ignoring them?
Slashy (3:17 AM): also, how long have they been sitting around with the pig-dogs?
Rachel T (3:18 AM): The Master and Jack are pouty.
Rachel T (3:18 AM): John is pouty because Jack's pouty.
Rachel T (3:18 AM): Everyone's just being kind of pouty.
Slashy (3:18 AM): so. . .we're right back where we started, really.
Rachel T (3:18 AM): They've been trying to collect the pig-dogs while this is going on.
Rachel T (3:18 AM): ...maybe the hate!sex, etc should come before the 1984 planet.
Slashy (3:19 AM): . . .what about Martha and Gwen?
Rachel T (3:20 AM): The Doctor takes Jack and John back the the 21st century after they hitch a ride. At this point, Faith has called Gwen, who's waiting with martha in the TWS base. They shove Jack and John back inside and tell the Doctor in no uncertain terms that they all Need Help and should go home to get some. And they will come along to insure it happens.
Slashy (3:21 AM): so then when they leave New Gallifrey
Slashy (3:21 AM): they end up where?
Rachel T (3:22 AM): back on earth?
Slashy (3:22 AM): what in the proper time and everything?
Slashy (3:22 AM): *shock*
Rachel T (3:23 AM): proper time ish.
Slashy (3:23 AM): ish?
Rachel T (3:24 AM): couple weeks later, maybe a month.
Slashy (3:24 AM): . . .who's been in charge of TWS?
Slashy (3:24 AM): for that matter, who's been in charge of TWG?
Rachel T (3:25 AM): cloneNick has been in charge of TWS, and...crap.
Rachel T (3:26 AM): Uh, probably Swanson or Suzie.
Rachel T (3:26 AM): Most likely Swanson.
Slashy (3:26 AM): okay
Slashy (3:27 AM): . . .and what do Rhys and Mickey think of their wives vanishing act?
Rachel T (3:28 AM): slightly annoyed. Mickey will probably allay Rhys' fears with "She's not that likely to die with him. Probably better chances of living iwth him than here." Considering it's Mickey, it probably won't me much more tactful than that.
Slashy (3:28 AM): and Mickey once had Rose disappear on him for a year, so he understands how dodgy the Tardis is
Slashy (3:29 AM): so, the girls go back to their respective Torchwoods, and the domestics flee the planet
Slashy (3:29 AM): because all that issue working out?
Slashy (3:29 AM): they'd still rather not be around
Rachel T (3:29 AM): yeah.
Rachel T (3:29 AM): don't blame them
Slashy (3:29 AM): nor I
-
Slashy (9:30 PM): Lisa and Adeola are alive and working for TWP, right?
Tate Icasa (9:32 PM): is there an alternate Ianto with alternate Lisa?
Slashy (9:33 PM): . . .so long as I keep Jack away from the CDG
Slashy (9:33 PM): that's a whole level of angst I am NOT prepared to deal with
Tate Icasa (9:33 PM): probably for the best, yeah
Tate Icasa (9:34 PM): to be honest, it's Adeola I'm interested in
Tate Icasa (9:34 PM): surely she's awesome?
Slashy (9:34 PM): well, of course she is
Slashy (10:31 PM): who's second in command at SJA?
Tate Icasa (10:33 PM): er. . .one of the "kids"? Lydia and Christina are the only other ones who've been there long enough for Sarah Jane to consider, I think.
Slashy (10:34 PM): geez, I wouldn't really leave ANY of them in charge for long
-
Slashy (9:37 PM): can I get away with a Malmooth (Chantho's species) coming through Rift?
Rachel T (9:38 PM): Sure.
Slashy (9:40 PM): *thinks about how Malmooth language works*
Slashy (9:46 PM): nice. Malmooth needs a name. One that can be split properly for sentence prefix and suffix. *headdesk*
Rachel T (9:47 PM): Domlir?
Slashy (9:48 PM): . . .I'm imagining Jack talking to someone who prefixes every sentence with "dom". It's very funny.
Rachel T (9:49 PM): I hadnt thought of that. It really is, isnt it? Lol
Slashy (9:50 PM): and I, for some reason, read "lir" as pronounced "leer". This is just turning into all kinds of fun. ^_^
Rachel T (9:52 PM): That was how i meant it to be pronounced. :-)
Slashy (9:54 PM): Domlir is a male Malmooth, right?
Rachel T (9:54 PM): yes.
Slashy (10:18 PM): So Domlir comes through the Rift. But he ends up talking to Jack. Who is at TWS. . . .I'm missing something here.
Slashy (10:21 PM): Martha and Jack are the only ones who would recognize Domlir as a Malmooth. But Martha is also Not At TWG. Ugh.
Rachel T (10:22 PM): Gwem, being Gwen and smart, asks them if theyve seen anything like it before.
Slashy (10:26 PM): *facepalm* Donna, also, would recognize a Malmooth. An N-Space Torchwood Heads meeting would be a helpful way to get people where I need them.
Rachel T (10:26 PM): That would work
Slashy (10:30 PM): Oh, god. A Torchwood Heads meeting means Jack LEAVING JOHN AT TWS.
Slashy (10:59 PM): so, does Jack take Domlir back to TWS? And if so, why?
