Slashy (9:09 PM): in my personal canon, the Master did not fall into the Timelock or vanish, he was thrown clear of the building by the force of his own electricity zapper and immediately ran off to continue eating hobos
Slashy (9:10 PM): and the Doctor is just oblivious enough not to notice
Rachel T (9:10 PM): He's too busy emoly saying goodbye to his friends because HE'S NEVER EVER GOING TO SEE THEM AGAIN.
Rachel T (9:11 PM): EVER.
Slashy (9:13 PM): I liked most of the goodbyes. Because, really, it's not that HE'S never going to see THEM, it's that they're never going to see HIM again. And they won't.
Slashy (12:08 AM): okay, so, I'm writing my three fics for Life on Mars. Because I decided that three was a good number over a year ago when I started the great crossover project, or whatever it's called.
Slashy (12:08 AM): when I finish them, I can actually start writing at 'verse where Test Card Girl is the Rani
Slashy (12:09 AM): I have ideas for that 'verse and how certain people can to be where they are
Slashy (12:09 AM): it involves the Weeping Angels
Slashy (12:10 AM): and I can't write Eleven yet, but I'm sure that I need him and his Tardis
Slashy (12:10 AM): and I know it takes place AFTER tEoT
Slashy (12:14 AM): because I can get around it being the Doctor's idea. in fact, I can make that work much better than it being a scheme of the Master's
Slashy (12:14 AM): but I can't figure out the Rani
Slashy (12:15 AM): other than that she's a twat, but that's kinda obvious as she's Test Card Girl
Slashy (12:17 AM): because, okay, you take the laser screwdriver and the chameleon circuit to make the Master into a baby human
Slashy (12:17 AM): and you give that baby to Ruth and Vic Tyler, Pete's cousins
Slashy (12:17 AM): and they name him Sam and raise him
Slashy (12:18 AM): and then the Weeping Angels send him back to 1973
Slashy (12:18 AM): and the Rani decides to fuck with his head
Slashy (12:18 AM): because she is a twat
Rachel T (12:18 AM): of course
Slashy (12:18 AM): but she'd have gotten caught early series 1 unless she was somehow hidden from the Doctor
Slashy (12:19 AM): and it's CLEARLY not Archangel hiding her back in 1973
Rachel T (12:20 AM): The clown is some kind of psychic cloaking...thing?
Slashy (12:21 AM): . . .it feeds on fear in SJA, the clown does. it was the original pied piper, a shapeshifter that feeds off psychic energy.
Slashy (12:21 AM): thank you
Slashy (12:22 AM): okay, so now my next problem is the series 2 finale
Slashy (12:22 AM): because somehow Sam Tyler ends up back in 2007, and meanwhile his body was in a coma
Slashy (12:22 AM): and then he jumps off a building and lands back in 1974
Rachel T (12:23 AM): The Doctor cottoned on, realised he was happy in 1974, and healed him up with nanites, then sent him back in time?
Slashy (12:24 AM): see, I'll buy that the Doctor healed him and left him in 1974 to live out the rest of his life
Slashy (12:24 AM): but what about his BODY IN A COMA for two years?
Slashy (1:03 AM): "It is revealed in the final episode that Sam's coma had lasted so long because he had a tumour of the brain."
Rachel T (1:03 AM): ...
Slashy (1:04 AM): okay, so I'm reworking my plot
Slashy (1:04 AM): the Rani, while fucking with his head, gave him a tumour
Slashy (1:04 AM): he collapses after leaving the team in that scene at the end of S2E8
Slashy (1:05 AM): at this point, the Doctor has finally tracked the Master down, the proper way, not the 'let the Angel touch me too' way, because that would be thick
Slashy (1:06 AM): he find the Rani, and the dying Master, and brings them both back to 2006
Slashy (1:07 AM): where he leaves the Master, still as a human, in the hospital while he deals with the Rani
Slashy (1:07 AM): gets back from that just in time for Sam to jump off the roof
Slashy (1:08 AM): nanites, seven years back in the seventies, at the end of which the Doctor him back his fob watch
Slashy (1:12 AM): now I need to figure out what he's done with the Rani
Slashy (1:15 AM): i want him to trap her in the mirror with the girl with the red balloon
Slashy (1:15 AM): even though I KNOW that that's a spectacularly BAD idea
Slashy (1:16 AM): because then the girl with the red balloon can get the Rani's Time Lady body
Slashy (1:16 AM): . . .or they can make a deal
Slashy (1:17 AM): the Rani promises the girl with the red balloon the Master's Time Lord essense
Slashy (1:17 AM): so they work together to get out of the mirror (the Rani is clever enough) and they go to steal the fob watch
Slashy (1:18 AM): this being sometime during Sam Tyler's seven years in the 70's
Slashy (1:19 AM): so they have to be able to track the Doctor's Tardis somehow
Rachel T (1:20 AM): I just have this picture of them in my head, sneaking up behind Jack and mugging him.
Slashy (1:21 AM): the Doctor would give it back
Slashy (1:21 AM): after he defeated the Rani
Slashy (1:21 AM): because it's still Jack's property
Rachel T (1:22 AM): But he'd give it back just as broken as it was originally.
Slashy (1:22 AM): i wonder when they'd get out of the mirror
Slashy (1:22 AM): it doesn't have to be in the 70's for them
Slashy (1:22 AM): they could just as easily be up in 2006
(they get out in the 70's, shortly after the Doctor caught the Rani and brought the Master to 2006, but they immediately find Jack, steal his VM, and head to 2006)
Slashy (1:23 AM): where the Master's unconcious body is. . .
Slashy (1:25 AM): . . .how terrifying is it that I want them to arrive during Harry Saxon's rise to power
Slashy (1:26 AM): so that they can get him to help them
Slashy (1:26 AM): by pretending to be Sam's identical twin, separated at birth
Slashy (1:26 AM): if they timed it right, of course
Slashy (1:27 AM): because Saxon would only just be arriving a few months before Sam wakes up
Rachel T (1:27 AM): right
Slashy (1:27 AM): so they get Saxon on their side, I'll work out how in a minute because somehow I doubt the truth would go over well
Slashy (1:28 AM): and he helps them get Sam's body out of the hospital
Slashy (1:28 AM): so they can hold it ransom
Slashy (1:28 AM): okay, then there's the year that never was
Slashy (1:29 AM): I want them in the year that never was
Slashy (1:29 AM): because I want Ten
Slashy (1:32 AM): the girl with the red balloon isn't going to last a whole year
Slashy (1:32 AM): so she needs another body
Slashy (1:35 AM): . . .is it wrong that I hope the Master kidnapped Annalise as well? Because I want to give her Annalise.
Slashy (1:36 AM): okay, Saxon, when he got Martha's family, also got Annalise
Slashy (1:36 AM): but he didn't make her work, near the Doctor, because the Doctor doesn't care about her
Slashy (1:36 AM): that's why we never saw her
Slashy (1:37 AM): so the Rani gives Sister-of-Mine Annalise for her new body, that should last her through the year that never was
Slashy (1:39 AM): okay, before I try to find Sam's body. Does Saxon know about Annalise/Sister-of-Mine?
Slashy (1:40 AM): or, rather, did he know before they did it
Slashy (1:40 AM): because obviously he'll figure it out if he didn't
Slashy (1:40 AM): he's not DUMB
Rachel T (1:40 AM): I'm thinking sure, why not
Slashy (1:40 AM): okay, so, Sam's body
Slashy (1:41 AM): it has to be hidden somewhere Ten will never see it
Slashy (1:41 AM): but where the Rani and Sister-of-Mine can keep an eye on it
Rachel T (1:41 AM): doesn't the master find it odd that he looks exactly like him?
Slashy (1:41 AM): . . .thinking.
Slashy (1:42 AM): okay, that's how they get him to work with them
Slashy (1:42 AM): they tell him he wins
Slashy (1:42 AM): but the Doctor poisoned him
Slashy (1:42 AM): and they're trying to cure him
Slashy (1:42 AM): so clearly they're on his side
Rachel T (1:42 AM): he doesn't find that suspicious? That the Doctor poisoned him?
Slashy (1:43 AM): i didn't say he trusted them completely
Slashy (1:43 AM): but it's not outside the realm of possibility that the Doctor would poison him
Slashy (1:43 AM): if it was something non-lethal
Slashy (1:44 AM): or to try to take the drums away, to make him "well"
Slashy (1:44 AM): which is clearly not something the Master wants
Rachel T (1:46 AM): the infirmary?
Rachel T (1:46 AM): wouldn't there be one?
Slashy (1:46 AM): maybe
Slashy (1:46 AM): does it deadbolt shut? just in case?
Rachel T (1:46 AM): sure
Slashy (1:46 AM): okay. it's a good place for the to hole up once the end is near
Slashy (1:47 AM): they still have the Vortex Manipulator they stole from Jack, because they haven't been defeated by Eleven yet
Slashy (1:47 AM): Saxon does not know they have this
Slashy (1:47 AM): because otherwise he would have taken it away and used it
Slashy (1:48 AM): so after the paradox machine is down
Slashy (1:48 AM): they go back down to Earth, because they don't want to get caught in the middle of the UNIT ship
Slashy (1:48 AM): not by UNIT and certainly not by Ten
Slashy (1:51 AM): okay, so they go back down to the Earth
Slashy (1:51 AM): now they have to find Eleven
Slashy (1:51 AM): so either they track his Tardis, or they hang around until after tEoT
Slashy (1:52 AM): I vote they track his Tardis
Slashy (1:54 AM): so they track his Tardis. . .but they're early
Slashy (1:55 AM): they end up in that hole in Cardiff, where the Tardis crashes immediately after tEoT
Slashy (1:55 AM): Eleven doesn't even know the Master survived yet
Slashy (1:55 AM): well, he does after they show up, obviously
Slashy (1:56 AM): before he can figure out some clever way to defeat them, they vanish again
Slashy (1:57 AM): by now they've drawn the attention of Gwen's Torchwood
Slashy (1:59 AM): okay. so Gwen should have her Torchwood properly functional at this point
Slashy (2:00 AM): so, now we have Eleven and TW Gwen in. . .2011
Slashy (2:00 AM): and the Rani and Sister-of-Mine tracking a later version of Eleven, sometime in the seventies
Slashy (2:01 AM): young!Eleven and TW Gwen first, then
Slashy (2:01 AM): there must be some angst over CoE, because There Must Be
Rachel T (2:02 AM): lots from Gwen.
Rachel T (2:02 AM): Because she, y'know, has lost ALMOST EVERYONE SHE CARES ABOUT within the last few months.
Slashy (2:02 AM): what is TW Gwen's policy on the Doctor, do you think?
Rachel T (2:02 AM): I'm Pissed Off at him, but he has saved the world several times.
Rachel T (2:03 AM): not kill on sight, but definitely Proceed With Caution
Rachel T (2:03 AM): and ask him WHERE THE FUCK HE WAS during the 456 debacle
Slashy (2:03 AM): it was a fixed point and he'd already HAD that mental breakdown once
Slashy (2:04 AM): Does TW Gwen help repair the crashed Tardis?
Rachel T (2:04 AM): Sure. She can try, at least.
Rachel T (2:05 AM): ...is it bad that I now want COE Gwen to be 11's companion for a bit, now?
Slashy (2:05 AM): i can do that
Slashy (2:05 AM): would Eleven ask for her help finding the Master, now that he knows he's alive? or would he be mister 'i'll find him on my own because I don't trust TW'?
Rachel T (2:06 AM): Well, she is a result of Jack's Torchwood, and she did help during that Earth-moving thing.
Rachel T (2:06 AM): So he might let her help
Slashy (2:07 AM): . . .turning him human when they find him is TW Gwen's condition for providing him with help
Slashy (2:07 AM): I needed a reason the Doctor would do such a thing
Slashy (2:08 AM): so while they find the Master and make him human and bring us right back around to where we started. . .
Slashy (2:10 AM): the Rani and Sister-of-Mine have tracked later!Eleven down, in 1980. That's the year Sam Tyler dies, in a car chase, a year before DI Alex Drake lands. And I'm not touching A2A yet.
Slashy (2:11 AM): so that's when the fob watch is opened
Slashy (2:12 AM): which means that the Rani and Sister-of-Mine approach the Eleven with their ransom
Slashy (2:13 AM): now it's not as easy to trick Sister-of-Mine, because the Rani will know if the Master is human or Time Lord due to telepathy
Slashy (2:15 AM): okay, so, Eleven needs to get the Master's body away from the Rani and Sister-of-Mine, while still keeping hold of the fob watch
Slashy (2:16 AM): and. . .where the fuck is the clown?
Slashy (2:17 AM): . . .the clown was hiding the Rani
Slashy (2:18 AM): why is the clown working with the Rani?
Slashy (2:18 AM): because while the Rani was mindfucking Sam, it was feeding off his fear
Slashy (2:18 AM): so where did it go when Sam chose to go back?
Slashy (2:19 AM): he wasn't afraid of the Test Card Girl anymore
Slashy (2:20 AM): which means she's keeping it somehow
Slashy (2:21 AM): so if Eleven can free it from her, it might decide it owes him a favour
Slashy (2:22 AM): it could hide the Master from the Rani, so the Doctor could trick Sister-of-Mine just like he did in HN/FoB
Slashy (2:23 AM): but he'd have to free it from the Rani without the Rani noticing
Slashy (2:23 AM): i'll work on that
Slashy (2:24 AM): so now Eleven has do something with the Rani and Sister-of-Mine
Slashy (2:24 AM): obviously that whole mirror thing is not an option
Slashy (2:25 AM): now, all he has to do is lock Sister-of-Mine up until she burns out and dies
Slashy (2:25 AM): so he can hand her over to TW Gwen
Rachel T (2:25 AM): Is that a wise idea?
Slashy (2:26 AM): probably not, but it gives me a length of rope later
Slashy (2:26 AM): now, what to do with the Rani?
Slashy (2:26 AM): I refuse to let Eleven keep her
Slashy (2:27 AM): and he can't kill her, because there are still just the three Time Lords left (and Jenny and Donna, but they don't count)
Slashy (2:28 AM): and he can't let her go
Slashy (2:28 AM): for reasons that should be obvious
Slashy (2:29 AM): . . .it's a shame she's blonde
Slashy (2:29 AM): okay, how do you force a regeneration without killing the Time Lord?
Slashy (2:30 AM): they did it once before, Two to Three wasn't an execution
Slashy (2:30 AM): and the girls are quite capable of regenerating on demand
Slashy (2:30 AM): so she'd try to escape
Slashy (2:31 AM): by regenerating so the Doctor didn't recognize her
Slashy (2:31 AM): which would only work if they were inside Archangel again
Slashy (2:33 AM): but that's okay, because they have a legitimate reason to be within Archangel again
Slashy (2:33 AM): they have to put Sam Tyler's comatose body back
Slashy (2:35 AM): he has to bring them with him
Slashy (2:36 AM): and the Rani tries to escape by regenerating and making a break for it
Slashy (2:36 AM): and the Master catches her, because Archangel was his
Slashy (2:36 AM): that seems out of character. . .
Slashy (2:37 AM): . . .he's very ticked at her for fucking with his head for a year, then holding him ransom
Slashy (2:37 AM): so now she's got dark hair
Slashy (2:37 AM): and we can do the same thing to her that we did to the Master
Slashy (2:38 AM): she's going to be Alex Drake
Slashy (2:38 AM): laser screwdriver, chameleon circuit. . .
Slashy (2:39 AM): and then she gets touched by a Weeping Angel
Slashy (2:39 AM): I have a theory that the Weeping Angels prefer Time Lords to humans and can therefore sense them
Slashy (2:40 AM): well, if you lived off potential energy, would you rather have 80 year average or 8000? you'd adapt to tell which was which
Slashy (2:41 AM): but we do know that that clown is well and truly pissed at the Rani
Rachel T (2:41 AM): right. well. abducting it would probably do that
Slashy (10:53 PM): okay. before i get on with Alex Drake/the Rani, who I think i'm just going to leave where she is for the time being. . .
Slashy (10:54 PM): in the unspecified time between early!Eleven leaving babySam/the Master with Rose's cousins and later!Eleven being blackmailed by the Rani, he takes Gwen on adventures
Rachel T (10:55 PM): out of curiosity, where the hell is Jack during all this?
Rachel T (10:56 PM): I mean our Jack. Who is probably wondering why the hell the doctor gifted him some random guy.
Slashy (10:59 PM): okay, so, after the Doctor gives him Alonso, Jack decides to go back to Earth and brings Alonso with him
Slashy (10:59 PM): because I love Alonso
Slashy (11:00 PM): since I don't think we have any specific date for that scene in the bar, they can arrive back on Earth a couple days after Eleven and Gwen leave
Slashy (11:00 PM): and be immediately confronted by Gwen's Torchwood
Rachel T (11:00 PM): Who have orders to scream at and hold Jack captive? Yes?
Slashy (11:01 PM): who don't have orders regarding Jack because Gwen didn't expect him back so soon
Rachel T (11:02 PM): Most of whom already know him and are confused/resentful that he left, leaving Cardiff mostly defenseless and Gwen a wreck?
Slashy (11:03 PM): so, I'm imaging Lois and that Johnson woman informing Jack that they're doing just fine without him, thanks and rubbing it in his face that Gwen is now off with the Doctor
Rachel T (11:03 PM): ...yeah
Rachel T (11:03 PM): I like that idea
Slashy (11:04 PM): before I go any further with this, I need to know who else is ON Gwen's Torchwood team
Rachel T (11:04 PM): Lois, Johnson, Swanson, and Andy?
Slashy (11:05 PM): and I need a reason for Detective Swanson to have joined them, as we have not seen her --canonically-- since TKKS
Slashy (11:06 PM): anyway, I need an actual reason for her on the team, since in my head having a Detective and a PC is sort of redundant
Rachel T (11:07 PM): She can actually liaison with the police using her higher position and Andy can do more grunt work in the field?
Slashy (11:08 PM): of course, for postCoE!Jack and Alonso (and also Eleven) to encounter Gwen's Torchwood, I must now go back to the "beginning" and BUILD Gwen's Torchwood
Slashy (11:09 PM): I imagine she had actually finished or close to finished building her Torchwood during the months Jack was on planet but not in Cardiff, because she's competent like that
Slashy (11:10 PM): I think Gwen would be perfectly okay with Andy just joining up
Slashy (11:10 PM): clearly she already had Lois pretty much on the team DURING CoE, so she only had to to the paperwork to make it official
Slashy (11:11 PM): so she and Lois are all of Torchwood at that point
Slashy (11:11 PM): she prolly asked Johnson to join
Slashy (11:11 PM): and Johnson said she'd think about it and vanished for a bit
Slashy (11:12 PM): and in that time, Andy shows up and Gwen decides she's okay with that
Slashy (11:12 PM): because she's sick of being the only one covered in alien goo
Rachel T (11:12 PM): And they start to do a bit of cleanup on the Hub?
Slashy (11:13 PM): prolly, but i imagine in the interrim they've been using one of the older Torchwood sites
Slashy (11:13 PM): but NOT the one in CoE, because of MEMORIES
Slashy (11:14 PM): so after about two months, Torchwood consists of Gwen, Lois, and Andy
Rachel T (11:14 PM): The warehouse where they kept all the old torchwood employees stuff, maybe?
Rachel T (11:14 PM): She either tried to find their families or gave to to charity?
Slashy (11:14 PM): or possibly sells some of it, because she does not have access to all the things Jack was getting money from
Slashy (11:15 PM): so the three of them are working out of that warehouse
Slashy (11:16 PM): and that's when Johnson makes her reappearance
Slashy (11:17 PM): Johnson is not the most pleasant person
Slashy (11:17 PM): I imagine she upsets the police
Slashy (11:17 PM): often
Slashy (11:17 PM): so Gwen gets Swanson
Slashy (11:18 PM): at this point, Gwen's pregnancy must be taking a toll on her
Slashy (11:19 PM): so she will finally put Rhys on the books so she can take it easy
Slashy (11:19 PM): but he gets injured and they don't have a fucking doctor yet
Rachel T (11:20 PM): She can angst about it before he even gets hurt.
Slashy (11:20 PM): Martha's still with UNIT at this point, I think
Slashy (11:21 PM): so Gwen decides to track Martha down and beg her until she comes to join them
Slashy (11:21 PM): in person, because she's Gwen
(I think Martha should be off destroying that Osterhagen thing like the Doctor told her to at the end of JE)
Slashy (11:22 PM): so she leaves Swanson in charge, because leaving Rhys would be favouritism and she (and I) DOES NOT TRUST any of the rest of them enough to let them run Torchwood
Slashy (11:23 PM): so for a couple weeks, while Gwen is off getting Martha and Rhys is recovering from his injury. . .
Slashy (11:24 PM): I want Mickey to find them
Slashy (11:24 PM): where has he BEEN since JE anyway?
Rachel T (11:25 PM): Off doing...things.
Rachel T (11:25 PM): Being a freelance alien hunter
Slashy (11:25 PM): and then he hears about Torchwood being destroyed and rebuilt, because there are ALWAYS internet rumours
Slashy (11:25 PM): and he goes and find them
Slashy (11:25 PM): and Gwen, the only one who would recognize him, is not there
Slashy (11:26 PM): so they try to turn him away
Slashy (11:26 PM): and when that fails to work, they retcon him
Slashy (11:26 PM): Gwen, when she gets back with Martha, is less than thrilled
Rachel T (11:26 PM): Johnson's idea or Kathy's?
Slashy (11:26 PM): Johnson's
Slashy (11:26 PM): i don't think Kathy approves of Retcon
Slashy (11:26 PM): but Kathy is outvoted
Slashy (11:27 PM): because TW Gwen is a democracy
Slashy (11:28 PM): so Gwen gets Martha to create a Retcon antidote
Slashy (11:28 PM): and gives it to Mickey
Slashy (11:28 PM): and hires him
Slashy (11:29 PM): now, Martha is still with Tom at this point
Slashy (11:30 PM): but Tom, when he finds out about Torchwood --which he does because Gwen has a Family Fucking Needs To Know Okay? policy-- he does not take it as well as Rhys
Slashy (11:30 PM): so now they have split up
Slashy (11:31 PM): and Martha and Mickey are both working for Torchwood, so I can eventually get them together there
Rachel T (11:32 PM): Did Tom know about UNIT?
Slashy (11:32 PM): prolly not the parts that were important
Rachel T (11:32 PM): Like the aliesn?
Slashy (11:32 PM): i imagine he knew she was in a semi-military organization, though
Slashy (11:33 PM): so Martha and Mickey get together
Slashy (11:33 PM): without all the bull Oshen gave us
Slashy (11:33 PM): because Martha and Mickey are cooperative
Slashy (11:34 PM): they are engaged but not married when young!Eleven asks TWG to help him find the Master after tEoT -- because the Martha Ten saved from that Sontaran knew that Ten was dead
Slashy (11:35 PM): so while young!Eleven and Gwen are off having adventures
Slashy (11:36 PM): Jack gets back with Alonso and no one is best pleased
Slashy (11:36 PM): also, he is amazed that there are more than five of them
Slashy (11:36 PM): they essentially tell him that if he is going to hang about and wait for Gwen, he is going to follow orders like the rest of them and not make them incompetent or they will lock him up
Slashy (11:37 PM): whether is is allowed to stay after Gwen gets back is up for debate
Slashy (11:40 PM): so when Martha and Mickey eventually leave TWG, they are going to be in need of a medic and a techie again
Slashy (11:42 PM): but Martha and Mickey, both being smart people, must be training 'assistants' or whatever you want to call them
Slashy (11:42 PM): I WANT Mickey to train Alonso to use TW's computers
Slashy (11:42 PM): now I need someone for Martha to train to replace her
Slashy (11:46 PM): so now I need something I cross with the Whoniverse, that could feasibly bring a doctor/nurse/medic-of-some-sort, who knows about/would be okay with knowing about aliens, to Cardiff
Slashy (11:51 PM): so leaving Martha's replacement for later
Slashy (11:52 PM): while Gwen is off having adventures with the Doctor, she has her superphone and is able to continue to Not Be A Fail Leader even though she off having fun
Slashy (11:52 PM): unlike Jack
Slashy (11:52 PM): so Gwen frequently calls TWG
Slashy (11:52 PM): they tell her nothing about Jack
Slashy (11:52 PM): because they are twats
Slashy (11:53 PM): or they are considerate and know she DOES NOT NEED that
Rachel T (11:53 PM): ...She really doesn't need that.
Slashy (11:53 PM): okay, we'll go for that option then
Rachel T (11:53 PM): Swanson is considerate enough not to tell her. Jack totally wants to talk to her, though.
Rachel T (11:53 PM): Does Rhys know Jack's back?
Slashy (11:54 PM): He must. Rhys is working for Torchwood now.
Rachel T (11:54 PM): And he manages to keep that quiet
Slashy (11:54 PM): Rhys understands diplomacy
Slashy (11:54 PM): also, he is afraid of Johnson
Slashy (11:55 PM): and would like to have more children in the future
Slashy (12:01 AM): Gwen must come back with a new medic-type
Slashy (12:01 AM): she and Eleven will find him/her in another crossover that I WILL FIND at some point
Slashy (12:02 AM): now I am doing Marth and Mickey's timeline
Slashy (12:05 AM): so when Gwen and Eleven get back from their adventures. . .
Slashy (12:05 AM): Gwen's kid will be how old?
Rachel T (12:05 AM): right.
Rachel T (12:05 AM): er...
Rachel T (12:05 AM): lets see.
Slashy (12:05 AM): she has to have been gone for SOME length of time
Slashy (12:06 AM): because Mickey has trained Alonso to be his replacement by the time she gets back
Rachel T (12:06 AM): If we assume that the end of COE took place in July, then he'd have been born between late september and early Novermber, right?
Rachel T (12:06 AM): depending on how early/late he was.
Slashy (12:06 AM): okay
Slashy (12:06 AM): and when was tEoT?
Rachel T (12:06 AM): So, he'd be a month, two months at christmastime
Rachel T (12:07 AM): So maybe she comes back in, I don't know, early feb
Rachel T (12:08 AM): No, I don't imagine her being gone their-time wise for more than a couple months.
Slashy (12:09 AM): I'm assuming that since Eleven had to fix the Tardis after tEoT, it now works slightly better
Slashy (12:09 AM): because she will be thrilled to have been fixed
Slashy (12:09 AM): and he might even have done some other sorts of repairs, like, say, the fucking stabilizers, while he was at it
Slashy (12:12 AM): do you suppose Alonso, with his newly trained technical mojo and knowledge of wriststraplike teleporters ala Titanic, could fix Jack's VM?
Rachel T (12:12 AM): That'd be nice
Slashy (12:13 AM): okay. so Alonso fixes Jack's wriststrap
Slashy (12:13 AM): then Gwen and Eleven return
Slashy (12:14 AM): she does not want to deal with him
Rachel T (12:14 AM): Honestly, I wouldn't either.
Slashy (12:14 AM): so he decides to skip a year into the future and see if she's less mad then
Rachel T (12:15 AM): He's rather clueless, in't he?
Slashy (12:15 AM): yes
Slashy (12:15 AM): and he's forgotten Alonso
Slashy (12:15 AM): so now Eleven is also pissed
Slashy (1:25 AM): So, Eleven can't stay because he has to go back and catch up with the Master -who is still human in Eleven's subjective timeline (he will shortly encounter the Rani and Sister-of-Mine for the second time)
Rachel T (1:26 AM): right
Slashy (1:26 AM): Gwen goes back to TWG and brings her new medic friend with her, Martha and Mickey can now feel redundant
Slashy (1:26 AM): so they leave TWG to go visit Sarah Jane -- we'll talk about what's going on over with SJA later -- and Sarah Jane tells them how nice it is to work freelance
Slashy (1:26 AM): so they get married and go to do the freelance thing, where they eventually encounter a Sontaran, and Ten (for all of four seconds)
Slashy (1:27 AM): so in the crossoververse, I now have no problems to fix with tEoT
Slashy (1:27 AM): but I've just realized that Jack will be reappearing at TWG just a little bit after Eleven gives them custody of Sister-of-Mine. Fuck.
Slashy (1:28 AM): and I'll deal with it later
Slashy (1:28 AM): because I need to get everyone up to approximately the same subjective time
Slashy (1:29 AM): so I need to know what Sarah Jane was doing. From CoE onward.
Slashy (1:30 AM): I have big issues with Sarah Jane's absense in CoE
Slashy (1:30 AM): and will hold that she, Luke, Clyde, and whichever of the girls (prolly Rani) were off in an adjacent universe
Slashy (1:31 AM): not E-Space, because as Romana was President for a while she is clearly no longer there and I have no reason to put THEM there
Slashy (1:31 AM): speaking of Romana
Slashy (1:31 AM): Romana is Annie
Slashy (1:32 AM): when they finally discover this, the Master is quite gleeful about having married her, as she was the President when he left Gallifrey (this means that he has now slept with TWO former Gallifreyan Presidents)
Slashy (1:32 AM): he will constantly go on about how they were happily married, much to her annoyance. Romana will also feel a need to apologize to the Doctor about this.
Slashy (1:32 AM): "But we were married!"
"We were HUMAN!"
and also:
"You didn't even care this much about our marriage THEN." She looks at the Doctor. "He was screwing our boss." The Master gapes at her. "I'm not BLIND, 'Sam', I just didn't care."
Slashy (1:34 AM): mostly, I wanted Romana, and I wanted to prove that the Master is just GAY, no matter what species he is
Slashy (1:34 AM): also, it's my crossoververse and I will make as much slash as I want
Rachel T (1:34 AM): I approve
Slashy (1:35 AM): I was also happy to discover that Ten and Sally dealt with the Weeping Angels in 2008. Which is after A2A starts. So they CAN be the same Weeping Angels. Ha. *grins* That means I do not have to deal with them
Slashy (1:35 AM): I didn't want to have to deal with them
Slashy (1:38 AM): Maria being in America means that I can actually use American shows
Slashy (1:40 AM): Tesla's vampires in Sanctuary have triple helix DNA
Slashy (1:41 AM): so there's a solution for Donna, if I can get the crossover done right
Slashy (1:41 AM): and I've always thought that Sanctuary and the Whoniverse would cross well if I could get them in the same country
Slashy (1:42 AM): because Jack and Helen are about the same age
Slashy (1:42 AM): and as far as I can tell, there's nothing actively STOPPING them from crossing
Slashy (1:44 AM): so while Sarah Jane and her group are in their Adjacent Universe (I'll work on that one later), but after CoE, Maria ends up in the Sanctuary
Slashy (1:46 AM): if I time this right, she can even get a job there
Slashy (1:46 AM): though maybe not in the Old City Sanctuary
Slashy (1:46 AM): but since there are so many of them worldwide. . .I think there's one in London
Slashy (1:46 AM): and Maria, if she had her fathers consent, could work there. . .
Slashy (1:47 AM): and advance internship or some such
Slashy (1:47 AM): that gets her back to the country we need her in to encounter our Whoniverse guys
Slashy (1:47 AM): but during her first encounter with the Sanctuary. . .
Slashy (1:47 AM): I think Helen should already know Jack
Slashy (1:48 AM): I'll bet she met him during the few weeks in the seventies he was without his wriststrap due to the Rani and Sister-of-Mine
Helen has a picture of them somewhere (in her bedroom. because you know they DID, except that I have NO APPROPRIATE REASONS for Maria to be in Helen's bedroom), which Maria sees but as she was in America for JE she does not recognize him
(Have I mentioned that Jack/Tesla would be pretty? Because it would. Sadly, I don't think it could be 1970's Jack/Tesla, because Tesla was still in his "playing dead" phase and when they meet they should meet because of Helen. Who in "The Five" said she had not seen Tesla since she helped him fake his death. Dammit.)(On the other hand, Tesla and postCoE!Jack totally deserve each other.)
So back in the 70's, when the Rani and Sister-of-Mine stole his Vortex Manipulator. . .and Sister-of-Mine did not steal his body then BECAUSE?
anyway
Poor robbed Jack is on a mission for Torchwood, on loan to the London Branch, but the thing he is after turns out not to be an alien but an abnornal
he chases it, because HE doesn't know that, obviously, and ends up dead in the UK Sanctuary
because he doesn't understand the concept of TACT or caution and FAILED UTTERLY to actually sneak in
of course, the coming back to life thing intruiges the people at the UK Sanctuary (which is at this point run by Watson)
they offer to try to help him figure out why it happens, but he turns her down at first, because Torchwood tried that in a bad way and failed
Watson informs Helen, because Helen is the Head of the Sanctuary, and she will come to the UK Sanctuary to meet Jack for herself
obviously she is interested in anyone as old as she and the Five are
Jack flirts with limited success with the people at the UK Sanctuary. he and Helen will end up sleeping together at some point during his time at the Sanctuary
some time after his arrival at the Sanctuary (he is given formal permission to stay by Torchwood, because Torchwood and the Sanctuary have an agreement) he finally gives in and allows Helen to examine him. of course, she only finds out that he's human, with a bit of genetic augmentation to explain
they end up sleeping together on his last day in London. in the morning, he takes a picture of her with a polaroid camera and signs it "to remember me by" before disappearing back to TW3
(Jack checks on her from time to time and has at least one picture of her in his box of photographs)
Helen keeps the photograph in a photoalbum that Maria looks through to prove to herself that Helen really is as old as she says she is
Maria would have ended up in either the Old City or the New York Sanctuary, I'm not sure which one is closer to DC. I choose the Old City Sanctuary, because I know the characters who are there
apparently, Maria is helping the government hide aliens, so she will encounter the Sanctuary in much the same way Jack did -- "oops, that's not an alien"
although it will turn out not to belong to the Sanctuary either, it will be one of the creatures from the woods in Alice (whoo! another crossover!) They will discover this when they run into Alice and Hatter
Alice and Hatter will escort Helen, Maria, Henry to Wonderland to return the creature
where they will find SJA, who did not get to Wonderland through the Looking Glass but were accidentally teleported there by an alien device Clyde should not have been playing with
Now, threeish days in Wonderland is equal to about an hour on Earth, so Maria and the Sanctuary guys, and SJA, must all go through within a few hours of each other Earthtime, and stay for at least a year Wonderlandtime, in order to avoid CoE
(72hrs WST = 1hr EST. So 120hrs EST = 8649hrs WST. So 5d EST = 360d WST. Math works, yes?)
because I refuse to believe that it was December 2009 wherever Alice was set, I am much more inclined to believe it was April or May, and I'm inclined to think May. this gives Alice and Hatter twoish months, and King Jack nearly 12 years to get over Alice. (for the beginning of CoE, it needs to be February 2010)
(60 d = 1440hr. 1440hrs EST = 103680hrs WST. So 60d EST = 4320d WST, or 11.8y. Again, math works?)
while Alice and Hatter attend a formal meeting with King Jack, Maria and her Sanctuary friends take the creature to the woods and release it
in the woods they find SJA, who are completely lost but slowly making their way toward civilization.
with Maria back in the mix, we can now have "canon" Luke/Maria, Luke/Clyde, Clyde/Rani, making the new SJA slightly more sexually deviant than TWG
but the Queen of Hearts still has a few people loyal to her, and years of sceming means that she has escaped her royal prison cell and stolen the Stone of Wonderland. now the Looking Glass is quite useless
our guys naturally panic at first, and are informed of the time difference. they are not exactly thrilled, but are decided less panicked about returning home immediately
so they go after the Queen of Hearts, who is surprisingly good at hiding and has taken the Stone of Wonderland mostly to spite her son, rather than for ransom
while they are searching, Clyde learns how to be a knight from Charlie and is royally knighted by King Jack before they finally go home and Luke spends most of his time in the Great Library
they do eventually find the Queen of Hearts and get the Stone of Wonderland back, and our Earth people return to Earth
Hatter takes a job with the nearest Sanctuary, and again I choose Old City, because I just KNOW he is bored of normal Earth jobs
Maria, after speaking to her father, wants to return to London with SJA and Helen offers her a job at the UK Sanctuary which she promptly takes
she goes to the UK Sanctuary where her first job involves the pteradon the Sanctuary has just recently aquired. ^_^ (And look, I'm still TECHNICALLY before "Kali")
Maria is still communicating with Helen and Henry, and Helen just has to come to the UK Sanctuary to see this pteradon, this will be during that months long gap in CoE
on her way back to the Old City Sanctuary, Helen encounters Magnetic Tesla and postCoE!Jack, (who TOTALLY DESERVE EACH OTHER AND ARE FUCKING PRETTY, OKAY?). She is understandably ticked off at both of them.
"I can't belive this," Helen says. Tesla raises and eyebrow at her and she nods at Jack. "I had him first."
"Oh really?"
"Yes, really. Is it that difficult to believe?"
"Quite frankly, yes, Helen. And I've known you a very long time. When did you resort to random shags to get you through the day?"
Helen sighs. "It was the seventies, I was going through my second midlife crisis-"
"I'm still in the room, you know," Jack interrupts.
I want this to end in a threesome, but I know I can't believably go there and remain true to the characters. i can however send Jack on his mopey little way and leave Helen and Tesla to get together as they clearly want to do
and that's okay now, because John the elecricity monster and Ashley, the two things that were secretly keeping Helen from admitting that she wants Tesla, are both dead. dear lord that sounded callous. but you just know that despite Helen refusing to be WITH John, while he was alive she was also refusing to move on. and if Ashley were still alive/around, she wouldn't either
so Helen and Tesla go back to the Old City Sanctuary and I will pick up a Sanctuary storyline later
this is, I think, around the same time TWG is getting Martha and Mickey joined up, so we still have some months before they talk to Sarah Jane. SJA needs something to do in the meantime, and I've already given them TWO crossovers
so instead of another crossover, I will give them. . .Romana
yes, Romana. Annie will be a sweet old lady in her late 60's early 70's at this point. but she has a very sharp memory, and she definately recognized Harold Saxon. and threw up quite a fuss, which was summarily ignored by the nursing home people, who think she is going a bit senile
and there is plenty of time between 1980 and 2009 for her to move from Manchester to London, I don't even really have muck about with that
so there is an alien hiding out in the nursing home, and SJA track it there. where they talk to Annie and realise that she is not mad. Sarah Jane, having read Verity's book, finds Annie's fobwatch in her things and opens it. upon regaining her memories Romana regenerates
. . .at no point during that Sanctuary crossover was there ANY OPPORTUNITY AT ALL to fix Donna. because they do not know that Tesla vamping thing could give her triple helix DNA and that, in my head, that would fix her
give me a second here
okay, the way I see it, the presence of the Source Blood, regardless of what it does to each of the Five, renders them slightly not-human. enough, anyway, so that in the Old Sanctuary, only Kate and Will turn into the Master during tEoT
this can freak everyone right the fuck out, and Tesla, being brilliant, can trace the energy from the Immortality Gate. so he and Helen in all their disfunctional togetherness -but having problems aplenty- can try to sneak across the pond
they will be much too late to be of any use during tEoT, it will all be fixed by the time they get there, but that will get Tesla back in London
he and Helen's problems cause them to split up, she returns to America, he does not. though he does, for the most part, remain in the Sanctuary Nework
he sets up a small side project. . .using what's left of his and the girls vampire blood to again seed a new empire. only instead of using teenagers he uses adults and actually loses money. because he markets it as one of those drug trial things
and Donna signs up
so now she has triple helix DNA, and all we need to do is spark her memory. the failsafe will, rather than knock her and everyone around her unconscious, "wake up" the sleeping vampire genes, giving her the triple helix DNA and all her memories back
Wilf will be very pleased that she now has her memories. she will also have vampire abilities. the nails, teeth, awesome looking eyes thing. which is voluntary, but still. Donna will have.
she and Shaun will work through this.( because I WILL NOT take another man away from Donna. she does not deserve that.) the "this" in question being the fact that occassionally, during sex, Donna will accidentally vamp out and try to kill him
because she does not have the same medication that Tesla has
Shaun will seek help for this problem, discreetly, on the internet. now, should it be SJA or TWG who goes to help them?
wait, how did we get post-tEoT again. I still have to get SJA caught up to the rest of the Whoniverse. so after they get Romana and she regenerates (who should I have Romana look like? help me pick an actress ), she goes back with them to Bannerman road
where she uses Mr. Smith to contact the Doctor. This will be the Eleven who has recently left Alex Drake/the Rani and is travelling with the "sane"/drumless Master
Romana is understandably pissed at the both of them. but she does go off with them, because, well, what else is she going to do? stay on Earth? (I do think she should stay with SJA until after tEoT, tho. just to keep the Doctor from crossing too many timelines.)
at some point before tEoT, I think Sarah Jane should have to deal with the Trickster again. He seems to be the (FUCKING DALEKS *COUGH*) recurring villain of SJA
he REALLY wants to get rid of Sarah Jane, for whatever reason. he's already tried writing her out of existance, making her change the past so she didn't grow up to be her, and marrying her off at the cost of her memories. as all these things failed, this time he shall just bite the bullet and hire a proper assassin
his plan must fail, of course. so the assassin. . .is there an assassin I can pull from Sanctuary or Alice? why, yes, yes there is.
now, I can't remember off the top of my head what happened to Mad March at the end of Alice. but even if he's not around, he was only the Queen of Hearts' BEST assassin. so she has others. even though she is back in prison
so the Trickster, not being a COMPLETE nonce, does not offer HER a deal. because she is in no position to make deals. Rather, he makes a deal with her husband, back when he chooses to stay and die in what I really want to call an adorable moment of "aw, he's actually properly in love with her. that's so sweet and also fucked up because she is so damn evil". The Trickster promises him the love of his wife in exchange for one assassin.
"Are you Death?" the King of Hearts asks.
The Trickster considers. "No. I am not." He brandishes a stack of papers. "I have come to offer you a trade."
The King barks out a laugh. "Oh really? Has it occurred to you that maybe this isn't the best time?"
"I'm afraid this is the only time. I would give you the love of your wife- Oh, now I've got your attention, I see."
"Keep talking."
"In exchange for one of your assassins. Just sign one of your assassins into my employ and-" The King holds out his hand for the pen. "Here, here, and initial here. Thank you."
so the assassin goes and is foiled. but the Trickster keeps his end of the bargain. the Queen of Hearts, in her prison cell, realises that she loved her late husband very much.
kay, so SJA deal with the assassin and recognizing it (whether it is Mad March or not), go to the Sanctuary Network (because Helen is now in possession of the Looking Glass on Earth) to return it to Wonderland for a proper burial. because they are awesome like that
so they go and it's been, what, if we assume this is still during Jack's months on Earth, let's say during month 4 when TWG is complete save Gwen and the second medic, between 20 and 30 years WST? a while, anyway
Hatter and Alice accompany them, mostly because I just love Hatter, and even though King Jack has clearly moved on and gotten married and has Princes and Princesses, seeing Alice and Hatter just BUGS him. (because, srsly, if fifty years after you broke up, you first love reappeared with the guy she dumped you for, neither of them looking a year older than they did when you broke up, you'd be pissed too.)
so, spitefully, after the last time they were there, he passed a law that says only Oysters can go through the Looking Glass to Earth. He justifies by claiming it is to stop that pesky kidnapping thing. But it is really just to spite Alice.
so now Hatter can't leave Wonderland. Alice protests. Loudly. Which only gets her throw in prison. And SJA have to help, because this is kinda their fault. so they stage a prison break and escape through the Looking Glass
the Queen of Hearts can escape during the prisonbreak, for the same reason I kept Sister-of-Mine around. I just love being able reuse my villains. (In a Slitheen way, as opposed to a FUCKING DALEKS way.)
and I STILL have a few months to kill with SJA, dammit.
okay, is it wrong that I want Captain John to come be in SJA? purely because that would mean that while Torchwood has Mickey/Martha, Gwen/Rhys, and possible Alonso/Lois and Kathy/Andy, SJA would have the Maria/Luke/Clyde/Rani thing and Captain John.
I do, of course, need a reason for him to be there. okay. so he's looking for something shiny, some alien thing or something, and he runs into Sarah Jane while she's busy doing her alien helping thing
she tells him off because she is busy and wants him to go away, but he is all "Right, I'll just stay and help you then, shall I? And then you can help me find my shiny." Except that after finding the shiny and it not being all that shiny at all, he just sticks around to alternately annoy/molest Sarah Jane.
And here's our Quantum Leap crossover. SJA seems to be getting all the crossovers. . .
I do have to keep in mind that the "present" for QL when it ended was 2000, though I have no reason to believe that, now that he's gained control of his leaping, Sam is capable of travelling into the future
also, I get the feeling that Captain John would be less . . . whatever than the Doctor about helping, if only to send Sam --who is now time-travelling without a capsule BIOLOGICALLY-- to the Time Academy. He is perfectly capable of doing this within the realm of the canon, because clearly the Time Academy is not "home".
I also hold to the theory that however much Al loved Beth and no matter what Sam did, the second Sam stepped into that Accelerator Al/Beth was over. which Sam will notice the second he graduates from the Academy and becomes a Time Agent, one of the seven who remain, of course, so he will bring Al with him
while Captain John is with Sarah Jane, they encounter Sam, who has come to help them with something because that's what he does. while they are dealing with the alien, they swap stories (mostly because they can see holo!Al (let's say Romana's Time Lady-ness and Mr.Smith's translation software or something like that) and Captain John is intruiged. when Sam is about to leave, Captain John stops him from leaping.
"Because you're sodding radioactive!" He looks at their wide eyes and sighs. "It's not lethal or anything. You're still walking around, aren't you Sammy-boy? But it messes with this." He taps his wriststrap. "And you've already done enough of that."
"What do you mean?"
"Well it's the only reason I'm hanging around in this dump. One minutes I'm on my way to surprise an. . .old friend of mine. Next thing I know I've got no signal. Damned things only just recalibrated itself, and I swear if you knock it out again-"
"Wait," Sarah Jane says. "You mean to tell me that you've been hovering about in this annoying manner for months now because you're stalking JACK?"
"I am not stalking him," he protested. "I don't even know when or where he is."
he then grabs Sam and drags him to Academy, because if Sam will insist on doing his "goody-two-shoes paradox-causing thing" he can at least be considerate and use a wriststrap like a proper time traveller
and after dropping Sam off at the Academy, Captain John's wriststrap will inform him that Jack is now dealing with evenmorepissednow!Gwen and Sister-of-Mine. he goes "Ooh, shiny!" and goes to see him
because on top of Jack reappearing, Sister-of-Mine being a difficult captive and trying to steal Jack's immortal body, and her baby entering its terrible twos, what Gwen really needs in her life at that point is Captain John (<- that might just end up being a chapter summary)
in that interrim year, though, while SJA works with Captain John, Martha and Mickey do the freelance thing, and our crossovers are relatively stable. . .okay, so it's in this timeframe that Tesla fixes Donna. And TWG goes to fix that accidental vamping thing because they need something to do during this year here
and while TWG have not actually encountered the Sanctuary Network themselves yet, Gwen is able to arrange a meeting with the UK Sanctuary, because Gwen is smart and communicates with Sarah Jane
at some point, someone on TWG will point out that SJA is essentially Torchwood London, and they will have to start paying her for it
now, TWG responds instead of SJA who should be closer because. . .Shaun's new job, which was finally a stable job that payed well, forced her and Shaun to move to Wales. because despite winning the lottery that one time, they still need to WORK. this being after she got the sleeper vamp genes, but before she got her memories back.
it will be a Rift related accident that sparks her memories
so Donna, who has the Doctor's memories, is in Cardiff. so she goes to work with TWG. so she will be there for the Jack/Sister-of-Mine/Captain John debacle
so the Time Lords during that year then. alright, I can cross Land Of The Lost in, if I start with the assumtion that Altrusia is an adjacent closed universe, as opposed to somehow being the deep past, most probably an artificial one
I can time this right. . .Eleven, during his time with Gwen, encounters the Marshall's around the 70's -while spying on the Master- due to Pylons, and having figured out what Altrusia is, how to get there, and exactly how closed it is, hatches a plan
so after he has dropped Gwen off, and after he has the drumless Master, and after Romana gets in contact with him, and after he picks the Rani up, he takes them to Altrusia
which, it being a closed universe, allows the Marshall's to go home. he then sends the Tardis away so these four last of the Time Lords are trapped with only each other for company
because he does not trust the Master or the Rani
he also forgets that they are both nearly as smart as he is, because they are clearly able to work out how things work in Altrusia. so, about a year later (after several foiled escape attempts), while the Doctor and Romana are out confronting the Builder about how it's wrong to abduct humans/Altrusians/Zarns/dinosaurs/Pakuni/etc. for fun, the Rani and the Master are off fucking with the Pylons and the tech in Enik's cave
they escape, back to where the Tardis has gone for safekeeping. I imagine this is somewhere in TWG, as he will have discussed this plan with her immediately after developing it
but TWG is busy dealing with that whole Jack-is-back-Sister-of-Mine-and-oh-look-it's-Captain-John thing, so the Rani and the Master are able to steal the Tardis
the Doctor and Romana follow them out of Altrusia, eventually. the Master and the Rani obviously left some boobytraps to keep them, so that by the time they get out, the Tardis is gone and TWG has dealt with their issues
this leaves Altrusia empty for the Porters to fall into, and now the Master and the Rani have a Tardis and the Doctor and Romana do not. the Doctor and Romana also have Donna to deal with
so Eleven basically goes, "Jack, I told you you couldn't have a teleporter! Why don't you ever listen?", steals Jack's wriststrap, grabs Romana and Donna, and goes after the Master and the Rani with nary a plan in sight
Jack, who has realised by now that his chances of working things out with TWG are very, very slim, goes off with Captain John, which is probably the best thing for him at this point
kay, I've dealt with Donna. I have not yet dealt with either Jenny or River. though I guess Eleven can meet River pretty much in any interlude I so choose
and is it wrong that I sort of want River to end up being Iris Wildthyme? . . .okay, he runs into Iris, recognizes her as River, and basically goes "okay, fobwatch time!" He doesn't even have to make her a baby or anything, because he can just give her memories of her past that mean she doesn't have to think about a family or anything, give her the right paperwork and she's off
and he has to fobwatch her quick, because having never read a "canon" Wildthyme book or listened to a Wildthyme audiobook, I do not actually know how to write her
though I do sort of have this image of him running into her while chasing after the Master and the Rani. because Romana would recognize her as Iris, and Donna would recognize her as River, and it would be hilarious. but unless she happens to be in exactly the same place as the Master and the Rani, the Doctor will not have fobwatching gear handy. so she will have to help him defeat the Master and the Rani
which will mean that somewhere out there is a fobwatch containing the essense of Iris Wildthyme. meanwhile, her body is dead.
okay, so immediately after the newly fobwatched River goes off into the 51st century, Donna (who could not be around for the fobwatching, because River did not know what she looked like) comes back and points out that River is very dead. which the Doctor clearly had not thought of. Romana is understandably surprised, as the Doctor doesn't TELL her ANYTHING
The Doctor stared forlornly at the fobwatch in his hand.
"Give it here," Donna said.
"What?"
"Well, I've already got one set of Time Lord memories running around up here. What's another, right?"
so now she is the DoctorDonna Temple-Noble Wildthyme
which is awesome and terrifying in equal parts
now that they have the Tardis back, the Doctor brings Donna back to Earth. because she has a HUSBAND and a JOB. so as much as he would love to keep her around. and anyway, he still has to deal with the Master and the Rani. AGAIN.
now, I throw in a couple encounters with River to Eleven's travels with Gwen, and with the drumless Master before they caught up to Romana, and there will undoubtedly still be encounters to come
and on the subject of Eleven's travels with Gwen, I have not yet found a medic for her to find. and I still Do Not Want an original character
I also need to figure out how TWG stops Sister-of-Mine from stealing Jack's body. can they shoot him? she won't be able to take over his body while he is dead. and it will be stress relief for Gwen.
so while Jack is dead, Captain John generously offers to take him off Gwen's hands and keep him out of her way. And Gwen, not inclined to deal with either of them, let's him. So rather than Jack going off with Captain John, he was kidnapped.
I hold that he will be okay with this. once he remembers how Gwen's plan involved shooting him. several times after he was dead, just for good measure
Now, Sister-of-Mine is a problem. because I want the possibility of her recurring again. so she can't just die in the cells as is Gwen and Eleven intend her to
part of me wants her to take a Weevil body, except them I would need to find either a Weevil translator or a sidekick who understands Weevilish.
so Sister-of-Mine has to take a Weevil body while she's locked up. and as Annalise's body will die, no one will notice. because Sister-of-Mine is decent at the hiding thing
I've half a mind to assume that Weevils generally have longer lifespans than humans. and TWG, after they have contacted the Sanctuary Network that first time will have been working on some form of Cooperative Policy
so Gwen could, feasibly, agree to once a month or something allow the Sanctuary to take all the Weevils they have locked up and the Sanctuary will try to rehabilitate them
because you just know Helen or someone near her will be able to speak to and understand the Weevils. and if Tesla was using his own blood when he did his "drug trial", Sister-of-Mine will "recognize" him. so they can make a deal
because if Helen understands Weevilish, so does Tesla. and he's still not quite on our side. so he might listen to Sister-of-Mine's plan
what it is and whether Tesla goes through with it or double-crosses her I will have to decided. though, I think it should have something to do with Donna. because, really, at this point, Donna looks like an ideal host to Sister-of-Mine
having absorbed Iris Wildthyme's essense from the fobwatch, and with Tesla's blood in her triple helix, she now must have some form of ridiculous longevity. and get her near enough a resurrection gauntlet and she could probably give herself regenerations and also use the damn thing properly
also, Shaun must be a disturbingly good sport, because he still has not left her. and she now has the Doctor's memories, Iris Wildthyme's memories (yipes!), vampire blood, and a job with TWG.
now, if Shaun loses his job for some reason, say, a TWG related reason. wherever he was working was not a good place to be working, what with the alien slave labour or whatever. (that's good, I might even use that). if he loses his Cardiff job, then they have no real reason to remain in Cardiff
and that's okay, because Donna can just transfer to the London Branch and work with SJA. I imagine that Gwen's Torchwood system is paying enough to support Donna and Shaun. who must have an agreement that if they decided to have children, they are going to adopt, because who the fuck knows what could come out of Donna's uterus at this point
part of me really wants them to "adopt" an alien baby. at least for a while, while they search for it's parents. months, at least. but before that happens, Donna and Shaun go to SJA. bringing them closer to Sister-of-Mine and Tesla
around this time, I'm thinking, is when Martha and Mickey encounter Ten. and then they realise that Sarah Jane has gone Torchwood and basically go "well, fuck this freelance thing, then" and also go to join her. which leaves Sarah Jane as the only single person on SJA.
this London Branch has gotten quite big. and running it out of Sarah Jane's attic must kinda be a hassle at this point. so they are scouting out some of Torchwood One's old bases.
and that will be where they encounter Tesla and Sister-of-Mine.
Slashy (11:22 PM): I have this thought that if Captain John had stuck around TWG for longer than it took to go "oh hai, I steal ur Jack nao, bai!" he and Johnson would get along FANTASTICALLY
Rachel T (11:22 PM): Oh GOD.
Rachel T (11:23 PM): That's absolutely terrifying.
Slashy (11:23 PM): I have this image of them going on a shopping trip to a sex shop together
Slashy (11:29 PM): . . .and I STILL haven't dealt with Jenny, have I?
Slashy (11:30 PM): . . .is it wrong that I want her to end up in the other universe so that Handy and Rose can adopt her?
Slashy (11:30 PM): because that is what I want
Slashy (11:34 PM): but Handy couldn't actually turn her away if she showed up, could he?
Slashy (11:34 PM): also, Rose will be completely freaked out, as she does not even know Jenny exists
