Slashy (10:35 PM): okay, since I do not want to wait until Halloween 2010 to finish off Eastwick (in part because the 13 episode season took about two months and I feel awkward taking the same number and making it a year), it would make sense that the Witch's power would be greatest at either an Equinox or a Solstice. "scientifically" speaking, which do you suppose would be more plausible?
Slashy (10:38 PM): ~sigh~ it's probably the solstice isn't it? that's still more time than I want to use. dammit.
Raquel Tabor (10:38 PM): yes, it's the solstice
Slashy (10:38 PM): June is still more months than I wanted to use.
Slashy (10:39 PM): don't suppose you know any way I could spin it to make the equinox work? March would make my life so much simpler.
Raquel Tabor (10:40 PM): Well. How big of a hurry is she in?
Raquel Tabor (10:41 PM): Maybe the Equinox greatly enhances her powers but the solstice makes them the most powerful, but the Equinox will do?
Slashy (10:41 PM): and possibly the equinox makes the women's powers wane, so that the Witch would have the upperhand? or is that too simple?
Raquel Tabor (10:41 PM): that works for me
Slashy (11:26 PM): so Kelly pointed out to me today that the brilliant plan we came up with to have Elaine end up working in the Precinct with Caskett falls apart because due South and Castle are on DIFFERENT BASES
Slashy (11:27 PM): okay, so. I should be able to finish out what I'm doing with Eastwick
Slashy (11:27 PM): since I'll be ending it in March
Slashy (11:27 PM): it should be EASY
Slashy (11:28 PM): ...ending in March makes my Castle Book Tour story fail miserably, as that is not where my Castle blanks are
Slashy (11:29 PM): my first Castle story isn't until August. I suppose I COULD put the Book Tour BEFORE the start of the timeline.
Slashy (11:35 PM): so if what I'm doing with Eastwick is extending S1 from a 13 episode season to a longer one, but not doing my own season (which is what I'm doing), how long should I extend it to?
Slashy (11:35 PM): I ask because with what I have right now it would make a 20 episode season, and I'm not sure that's enough
Slashy (11:37 PM): is that a normal-length season for American telly?
Raquel Tabor (11:38 PM): like 22-24 is average
Slashy (11:38 PM): I feel like that means I should do two more stories
Slashy (11:39 PM): I suppose I DO need to sort out Bun and Eleanor
Slashy (11:39 PM): tell me, do you suppose Jamie using Penny as a sacrifice should be before or after Castle's Book Tour?
Raquel Tabor (11:39 PM): after
Slashy (11:40 PM): then that would, I think, make the sacrifice story actually part one of the Equinox story
Slashy (11:40 PM): which makes perfect sense now that I think about it
Slashy (11:42 PM): so if what happened in the 80's was that Bun tried to off Sebastian and accidentally got Gloria instead (and Darryl implies that this was not the first/only time that such an incident occurred), that WOULD explain why Bun and Eleanor hate each other, right?
Raquel Tabor (11:43 PM): Yes
Slashy (11:46 PM): now, Bun and Eleanor agree that Darryl is evil and must be killed. which, well, watching JUST the scene in the cemetery I wouldn't be inclined to disagree with them, because Darryl was completely creepy in that scene. but I don't think he is evil. I wonder if he knows Max is in Bun's employ.
Slashy (11:46 PM): I'd guess so, because he seems to know EVERYTHING
Slashy (11:46 PM): which means he could possibly open up a dialogue with Bun once he realized that Kat was possessed
Slashy (11:47 PM): because he really does CARE about the women, albeit occassionally in a totally creepy "strangling old women in a cemetary without turning off the porn-voice" way
Slashy (11:48 PM): I wonder if Darryl and Bun'n'Eleanor could form a brief alliance to get rid of the witch? "After we save Kat, feel free to go back to plotting my demise. Really, I don't mind."
Slashy (11:49 PM): so that would be the story right before the Equinox two parter. I assume Darryl would go to the women because of little Emily
Slashy (11:50 PM): the Witch's bribe wasn't enough, and while Darryl already KNEW Kat had changed, little Emily asking him to save her mum would be adorable and of course he would.
Slashy (11:53 PM): okay, Eleanor already made one pass at offing a couple of the women
Slashy (11:53 PM): mayhaps she's recovered enough to try again
Slashy (11:53 PM): okay. before or after the girls try and fail to off Jamie?
Raquel Tabor (11:53 PM): after
Slashy (11:54 PM): which means Eleanor might try to use Penny, who is resolutely against the women after that
Slashy (11:54 PM): before or after V-Day?
Raquel Tabor (11:54 PM): after
Slashy (11:54 PM): before or after the Book Tour?
Raquel Tabor (11:54 PM): before
Slashy (11:55 PM): Dec - Danny's disappearance
January - New Years resolutions, Witch takes Kat
January - Jamie fails to be killed, Penny turned "evil"
February - V-Day, Kat/Raymond
February - Eleanor uses Penny to try to off the women
February - Castle Book Tour
March - Darryl and Bun'n'Eleanor's alliance
March - Penny "sacrified", Penny/Kat, Equinox part one
March - Equinox part two
Slashy (11:59 PM): I keep meaning to send a one of my time-travellers to the Hindenburg in the buffyverse, because one of the big differences between Pete's World and N-Space is that there was no disaster there. until now I'd not considered this possibility, but could that be a TSR story?
~
since the March SGA-1 story is the not-start of Cassie/Ryan, the APD story could be the actual start. thefts from the science department can be traced back to Etra, but it isn't him it's the Etherahi in his head. Still they have to track him down and work out what he's doing with them. He'll have to be put under house arrest, so it can't happen again. And Cassie/Ryan would start.
Let's see what else we can come up with for APD. some of the food in hydroponics turns out to have been contaminated with toxins. since Rodney is one of the first affected, Katie Brown would be a suspect. due to the nature of their breakup. "Seriously? That was AGES ago. And we've both got same-sex partners now. Honestly." Let's call it February.
a kidnapping is another crime possibility. it would be Lenna, ransomed to her family for I'm not sure what. June.
how old is Maddie? born in 2002. so she'd be 14 in 2006. Lenna would be "15". so in, say, Soct 2016, they might "borrow" a jumper and go joyriding. obvs 16 is the age requirement to get a jumper license, and non-military licenses are only good for unarmed jumpers. one of the girls must have a fake ID/license.
we need a January, an establishing APD story. I say a dead scientist. Miko would find the body. Apparent suicide, was being blackmailed, but of course it's murder.
after Etra's theiving... well, no, we're missing January and March off-word stories. these are for 3 and 4. so in January after Etra's arrival, I guess this is a story for Aly's team, since the first in Feb is Young's team. it's been a while since we touched the Genii, but we aren't enemies so let's have Aly's team go there.
March, then. It must be Youngs team, because April is to do with Clo'neill. Last story for them was Young/Rush hatesex, so this time we should focus on the other two. Matt and Vanessa, who I assumed were sleeping together but actually I don't think they are. Which will bring down the het count. Okay, I know we need to infect a team with the Etherahi 'virus'. So Young's team are on a planet checking out a weird energy signal. It happens to be the Signal, but it's being contained somehow. You can see it, but not hear it. Our guys obviously 'set it free' or whatever and then it vanishes. They are now all infected.
~
Slashy (9:57 PM): I can't go the gang warfare way with APD, because there are no gangs on Atlantis
Slashy (10:11 PM): see with the scientists it wouldn't so much be Gang Warfare as it would be a "Prank War" that escalates WAY out of proportion and becomes a citywide disaster. Castle would be amused. Kate would be all, "Seriously? Your collective IQ is higher than the *population of the city*, what the hell were you thinking?"
Slashy (10:13 PM): funny enough, that would be the April blank. April Fools would be such a great way to kick that off
Slashy (10:14 PM): I am trying to remember, other than the Genii and the Athosians, other Pegasus peoples we have semi-regular contact with
Slashy (10:14 PM): because if I'm going to have smugglers, they need somewhere to smuggle to
Slashy (10:23 PM): the market planet the wraithworshipping Satedans were found on. would that be an acceptable place for Lantean smugglers to be running whatever it is they're running?
Raquel Tabor (10:27 PM): but the answer is yes
Slashy (10:28 PM): drugs or weapons? (note that that is an either or question)
Raquel Tabor (10:28 PM): weapons
Slashy (10:30 PM): I feel as if I should have an APD prostitution story, just to point out the irony of criminalizing prossies in the City of Whores...
Slashy (10:33 PM): is it bad that I want the prossie in question to be Miko?
Raquel Tabor (10:34 PM): No, do it
Slashy (10:35 PM): I feel as if maybe this shouldn't be in the blank immediately following Lenna's ransom. What do you think? (PS, there's a quesetion mark there.)
Raquel Tabor (10:35 PM): I think probably you're right
Slashy (10:36 PM): so, one or two after?
Raquel Tabor (10:36 PM): one
Slashy (10:36 PM): so a crime to go between them. arson?
Slashy (10:37 PM): one of the distant towers. it was being looked into as a possibly civilian housing project. and some asshat burns the whole thing down.
Slashy (10:37 PM): "Er...well I didn't think anyone was *using* it!"
Slashy (10:37 PM): it wasn't like s/he was trying to kill anyone or anything
Slashy (10:37 PM): just, really shit timing
Raquel Tabor (10:38 PM): why was s/he trying to burn the tower down?
Slashy (10:38 PM): possibly s/he was pissed about something unrelated and figured burning down an unused tower was a safer way of taking his/her anger out that murdering the person/s who pissed him/her off?
Slashy (10:39 PM): I'm not certain they survive
Slashy (10:40 PM): I'm thinking s/he figures out s/he's not getting away with it, and douses self with gasoline and goes boom rather than face consequences
Slashy (10:40 PM): because, y'know, mentally unsound
Slashy (10:40 PM): someone will make a point of mentioning that they REALLY need to screen people better before they let them into the colony
Slashy (10:41 PM): because that? should not have been allowed to happen.
Slashy (10:41 PM): like, at all.
Raquel Tabor (10:41 PM): everyone gets psych evals
Slashy (10:42 PM): so then the July/Aug team stories would have to do with these psych evals and how they effect the teams
Slashy (10:45 PM): I would like to have an underground gambling APD story, but I do not think Atlantis is using monies, so I'm not sure how it would work. because I don't know if they're using any form of currency at all, or a barter system, or a hybrid, or what.
Slashy (10:47 PM): I wonder if there's a porn industry in the City of Whores yet
Slashy (10:50 PM): would gambling for sexual favours be considered a form of prostitution or some other sort of crime?
Raquel Tabor (10:50 PM): I think prostitution
Slashy (10:51 PM): shame. I already used prostitution in 2013. would using it again be a Bad Thing?
Raquel Tabor (10:55 PM): yes
~
the Mark of Cain. I'm basing our version on The Mortal Instruments' version, where the Mark is drawn on someone's forehead and it means that anyone who injures the Marked would get the same back seven times. It'd be a PRU story, but I'm not sure when or who'd be Marked. I do know that Aziraphale is almost definitely the one who has to draw the Mark, because, well, DUH. At a guess I'd say it would be a finale, so I'll call it August 2015 and work out the who's and why's later.
~
Here's a pile of notes, most of which can be used for PRU but a couple are time-travellers.
In Khoikhoi mythology, the Aigamuxa are a fabulous people who have eyes in the back of their feet. They eat human beings, ripping them apart with the long teeth. Many Aigamuxa stories contain elements of clever victims escaping these savage but stupid ogres. In one of these stories, the trickster Jackal strew tobacco dust on the ground and it got into their eyes, thus enabling him to escape. Singular: Aigamuxab.
The Chiruwi ("mysterious creature") is a Central African half-man, with one leg, one arm and one side. Seen from the missing side he is invisible. He will challenge all those he encounters to a fight. If he is defeated he will beg not to be killed and in return he will offer the knowledge of many medicine. The victor will then became a very successful medicine-man. Should the Chiruwi win, however, he will kill his victim.
A monster of the Khoikhoi, the 'thrower down'. The creature sat on the edge of a great pit and dared passers-by to throw stones at him. The stone always rebounded and killed the thrower, who then fell into the pit. When the legendary hero Heitsi-eibib approached it, he wisefully declined to aim a stone until he had diverted the monster's gaze. He then struck Ga-gorib under the ear and tumbled it into its own trap. Another version of this legend tells of how Heitsi-eibib was chased around the pit before he slipped and fell in it. He managed to escape but had to wrestle with the monster for a long before he succeeded in pushing Ga-gorib in the pit.
Moshanyana is a mythic hero from the Sotho people of South Africa. They tell a tale of how all of the people and animals of the world were swallowed up by a monster called Kholumolumo. One pregnant woman escaped, and as the monster got stuck in a mountain pass because it had grown so large, she gave birth to a child, Moshanyana. He became a man in a very short time and slew the beast. He cut it open and released all of the people and animals that had been eaten. Eventually, some of the villagers grew jealous of him and tried to kill him. He escaped three times by using magic, but allowed himself to be killed the fourth time.
Aclla This was the name given to the sacred sun virgins among the Incas. In times of dire emergencies they willingly sacrificed their lives to appease the gods.
Aisoyimstan The "cold maker" of Blackfeet mythology. He freezes the earth or blankets it with snow. Aisoyimstan is portrayed as a man, white in color, with white hair, dresses in white clothes, and riding a white horse.
The four remaining anaye were Cold, Hunger, Poverty, and Old Age.
Andaokut A "transformer" figure. Born from the tears or mucus of a woman mourning the loss of her children stolen by Malahas, Woman of the Wood. He quickly becomes full-grown and ventures forth to rescue the stolen children, slaying Mahalas in the process.
Big Twisted Flute A cedar carved, five stop (finger holes) flute in the shape of a twisted headless horse said to possess magical power. When played it evokes a powerful love charm to entice a mate. The shaman composed exclusive music for it. These flutes generated a haunting melody, difficult to resist.
One of the ancestral snakes of the Binbinga people of northern Australia, Bobbi-Bobbi once sent a number of flying foxes for men to eat, but these bats escaped. So the snake, underground, watching, threw one of his ribs up, where the men on the ground received it and, using it as a boomerang, slew the bats and cooked them. Later they used the boomerang to make a hole in the sky, and Bobbi-Bobbi, angered, took back his rib, dragging down into his mouth two young men who had tried to hold onto the boomerang.
Erathipa A huge boulder in the shape of a pregnant woman bears this name. It is said that the souls of dead children reside within it, and that if a woman of child-bearing age walks by a soul slips from the boulder and into her womb to be reborn.
In aboriginal cultures, there was a vampire-like being, described as a little red man, approximately four feet tall, with a very large head and mouth. It has no teeth and swallowed its food whole. Its most distinguishing features were it hands and feet. It tips of the fingers and toes were shaped like the suckers of an octopus. The yara-ma-yha-who lived in the tops of fig trees and did not hunt for food, but waited until unsuspecting victims sought shelter under the tree. It then jumped down and placed its hands and feet on the body. It would drain the blood from the victim to the point the person was left weak and helpless, but rarely, to cause the victim to die. The creature would later return and consume its meal. It then drank water and took a nap. When it woke, the undigested portion of its meal would be regurgitated. According to the story, the person regurgitated was still alive, and children were advised to offer no resistance should it be their misfortune to meet a yara-ma-yha-who. Their chances of survival were better if they let the creature swallow them. People might be captured on several occasions. Each time, they would grow a little shorter until they were the same size as the yara-ma-yha-who. Their skin would first become smooth and then they would begin to grow hair all of their body. Gradually they were changed into one of the mythical little furry creatures of the forest.
The Tapairu also inhabit the pool that leads to the underworld. The goddess of death Miru sends them out to seduce men away from the earth.
In the islands of Hawaii, the word haole is occasionally used to annoy people whose skin is all white. In the past, it was a more broad label stuck on everyone who was not kanaka maoli, a true-person-from-here. But a very long time before that, words in the oldest Hawaiian language had much more special meanings, many to do with occult matters. There were no written letters then, and everything was communicated by sounds-from-the-mouth. In a way, understanding was simpler. Not only could things be shared through sight and sound, but also by feeling the way words were uttered. It was then that the word haole meant "who-do-not-breathe". In fact, it was used to describe the dead. Sometimes with the truly physical meaning, other times in a more subtle spiritual sense. Often, the two perspectives were mixed together, such as to describe a ghost, or a god. In the year 1778 of the haole calendar, Captain James Cook of the ship HMS Resolution, and his band of Englishmen came ashore at Kealakekua Bay on what is now known as The Big Island of Hawaii. There is no recorded proof that this landing was deliberately planned as to timing and location. But Cook had already visited several other parts of the island group. He may have been fully aware he was arriving at a sacred place whose name in Hawaiian meant "where-the-god-comes-and-goes", and that he was doing this in the middle of the annual festival to Lono-i-ka-makahiki, supreme head of the pantheon of Hawaiian gods. Lono himself had supposedly left the area a long time prior, but with a promise to return one day, on a floating island. Like the ship Cook sailed in on. The skin of the English was as white as the huge squares of bleached cloth tied to the masts of their ship. This was considered to be more proof that they were spirits, because only men who do not breathe could possibly be so pale. And so they were called haole. Despite Cook forbidding it under severe punishment, many of his crew slipped ashore, and infected local wahines with venereal disease they had picked up the year before from a Tahitian-French connection. The Hawaiians had no cure for this new sickness, and thousands eventually died horribly, decimating the native population. Thus, the Hawaiian islands were totally and irrevocably changed, by the coming of the dead ones.
The creatures are said to be about two feet high, although some have been seen as small as six inches, capable of fitting in the palm of someone's hand. They are always naked, but the long straight hair that falls to their knees keeps them warm and discreet. Apparently no two of them are the same, and they can be so moody as to be malicious and dangerous one day, and simply harmless the next. But they are always tricky, and therefore should be avoided, unless a special favor is absolutely needed of them. In the old times, some Hawaiians married Menehune girls, who were said to be quite fair, but needed to be shown how to make a fire and eat cooked food, because their own diet consisted only of starchy raw vegetables. The services of Menehune expert builders and craftsmen can be requested. This is especially so, if you can trace your family tree back to one of them. They then act like benevolent godparents. Many a major project, such as the preparation of a wedding feast, has been completed in a single night by the super strong little gods, while all humans slept. Menehune are afraid of owls.
Aitvaras In Lithuanian folk belief, a house spirit which appears in the form of a dragon. It brings its master stoles goods, such as coins, corn, and milk. An Aitvaras can be obtained from the Devil in exchange for one's soul, but can also be found, or brooded from the eggs of a seven-year-old cock. The spirit, which in the household appears as a cock, must be fed with omelet.
The fairy, Melusine, was the daughter of the fairy Pressyne and King Elynas of Albany. She became the fairy Queen of the forest of Colombiers in the French region of Poitou. One day, she and two of her subjects were guarding their sacred fountain when a young man, Raymond of Poitiers, burst out of the forest. Melusine spent the night talking with Raymond, and by dawn, they were betrothed, but with one condition. Melusine requested that Raymond promise that he would never see her on a Saturday. He agreed, and they were married. Melusine brought her husband great wealth and prosperity. She built the fortress of Lusignan so quickly that it appeared to be made by magic. Over time, Melusine built many castles, fortresses, churches, towers and towns, each in a single night, throughout the region. She and Raymond had ten children, but each child was flawed. The eldest had one red eye and one blue eye, the next had an ear larger than the other, another had a lion’s foot growing from his cheek, and another had but one eye. The sixth son was known as Geoffrey-with-the-great tooth, as he had a very large tooth. In spite of the deformities, the children were strong, talented and loved throughout the land. One day, Raymond’s brother visited him and made Raymond very suspicious about the Saturday activities of his wife. So the next Saturday, Raymond sought his wife, finding her in her bath where he spied on her through a crack in the door. He was horrified to see that she had the body and tail of a serpent from her waist down. He said nothing until the day that their son, Geoffrey-with-the-great tooth, attacked a monastery and killed one hundred monks, including one of his brothers. Raymond accused Melusine of contaminating his line with her serpent nature, thus revealing that he had broken his promise to her. As a result, Melusine turned into a fifteen-foot serpent, circled the castle three times, wailing piteously, and then flew away. She would return at night to visit her children, then vanish. Raymond was never happy again. Melusine appeared at the castle, wailing, whenever a count of Lusignan was about to die or a new one to be born. It was said that the noble line which originated with Melusine will reign until the end of the world.
Most variants begin with the warning that Tam Lin collects either a possession or the virginity of any maidens who pass through the forest of Carterhaugh. A young maiden, usually called Janet or Margaret, comes to Carterhaugh and plucks a double rose, whereupon Tam appears and asked why she is in Carterhaugh without his command and has taken what is his. She states that she owns Carterhaugh, because her father has given it to her. In most variants, she then goes home and discovers that she is pregnant; some variants pick up the story at this point. When an old knight taxes her with it, she announces that she will not declare him her baby's father, that her lover is an elf and that she loves him. She returns to Carterhaugh. In some variants, her brother has told her that a herb growing there will induce an abortion. In all, she picks something, whether the herb or the same roses as when they first met. Tam reappears, enraged, and forbids her to abort. She asks him whether he was ever human, either after that reappearance, or in some variants, immediately after their first meeting resulted in her seduction. He reveals that he was a mortal man, who, after falling from his horse, was rescued and captured by the Queen of the Fairies. Every seven years, the fairies pay a teind, a tithe to Hell, of one of their people, and Tam fears he will become that tithe on that night (Hallowe'en). He is to ride as part of a company of knights, and Janet will recognise him by the white horse upon which he is riding. He warns her that, when she catches him, the fairies will attempt to make her drop him by turning him into all manner of beasts (see Proteus), but that he will do her no harm, and when he is finally turned into a burning coal she is to throw him into a well, whereupon he will reappear as a naked man and she should hide him. Janet does as she is asked, and wins her knight. The Queen of the Fairies is not best pleased, but acknowledges her claim.
In 1941 the British warship "Trinidad" sighted a German destroyer and fired a torpedo at it. The icy Arctic waters apparently affected the torpedo's steering mechanism - it began to curve in a slow arc. As the crew watched in horror, it coninuted curving slowly around until it was speeding right back at them for forty knots. The "Trinidad" torpedo slammed into the "Trinidad" and caused so much damage that it put the warship out of action for the rest of the war.

Slashy (11:55 PM): ...how old is O'neill by now?
Slashy (11:57 PM): so he's in his early to mid sixties?
Raquel Tabor (11:57 PM): I believe
Raquel Tabor (12:00 AM): 20 october '52
Slashy (12:01 AM): so... unless he's aging as well as Sarah Jane -- and NO ONE ages as well as Sarah Jane -- he should maybe retire from being governer of the City of Whores at some point...?
Raquel Tabor (12:02 AM): Mandatory retirement age for us military is 65
Slashy (12:04 AM): dammit, that would be 2017 (needed calculator or would have replied quicker)
Slashy (12:04 AM): timeline ends in 2016
Slashy (12:04 AM): I was hoping it would be before the newverse
Slashy (12:05 AM): are there other things that would force him to retire without being super horrible?
Raquel Tabor (12:06 AM): Uhm. Maybe his knee
Slashy (12:09 AM): hmm... like maybe around the time of that rockslide he was in the year before the Colonisation?
Slashy (12:13 AM): since that rockslide is before the colony, O'neill would need to be replaced by another military guy. because there is no way the military is going to trust Daniel to run Atlantis by himself, are they?
Slashy (12:15 AM): so then who would replace O'neill?
Slashy (12:21 AM): I feel like it should be someone who is already on the colony. because won't they be spectacularly pissed if the SGC sends them someone new AGAIN?
Slashy (12:30 AM): the rockslide is February. Ba'al's great escape is in March. Ba'al takes Evan as a host in May, when he is randomly getting a promotion. would it not make sense then to retire Evan's team entirely and have him replace O'neill. and then his promotion a few months later would just be a formality. and also explain why Ba'al chose him for a host. ?
Raquel Tabor (12:31 AM): Yes. That would make perfect sense
~
SGA-1 now needs an April story. non-Etherahi, preferably. because Young's team was only just infected. so I say we should stuble across something. Like one of those now abandoned Wraith labs. with all the tech and all.
now an SGA-1 story on the arc, I think. a Cadman think, since I haven't really focused on her for a bit. so SGA-1 go to this planet with a village that is completely abandoned. they set up camp outside the village (because they are not stupid) and while Cadman is on watch the halfborn come and take her away. why? because her blond hair is easily noticable and the halfborn have lost all their hair in the transformation but are still human enough to care. obviously the others stage a rescue and are also capture. they also fail to escape. fortunately the halfborn let them go after shaving all their hair off.
now Aly's team. I say we're opening up a new section of the city. they've been doing this systematically for a while now, so they aren't expecting any kind of trouble. until they find a room that looks a lot like that holograph room and it locks them in, but the simulation makes them believe they aren't locked in. this is obviuosly a problem. Aly doesn't have a scientist on her team, and after this they'll realize this is a problem. so they will be at the end of their trying-them-out rope next months. when they aquire Jeannie, because I love Jeannie. I also think Jeannie and Kaleb are getting divorced soon. He doesn't approve of her team--joining or working-in-dangerous-conditions. He wants to take Maddie, but they get joint custody. that stuff goes down in the Psych Eval City Proper story.
the other June story should be Young's team. they were infected in March, so maybe we should see some effects in the periphery. like all humming -at separate times- the same tuneless tune. but for a story, a space gate, and an unfortunate jumper malfunction after they land on the planet. there's a shell around the planet wherein the jumper does not work. this wasn't such a problem going down, since gravity and all, but trying to get back off the planet won't really work. so they'll need to be towed from the other side of the shell, and Shep is our best pilot so SGA-1 must rescue them. they will be thrilled, I'm sure.
then the psych evals. Shep's team, then Young's, then Aly's, then the City Proper. I know the City Proper story has Jeannie and Kaleb's divorce, other than that nothing. the Aug APD story is Miko's Prostitution, but it's also APD's psyche eval story. I'm just imagining John and Sherlock's psych evals.
now it's time to take a look at colony logistics. there are six branches off the central tower grouping. even as a colony we can't be using them all, at least not initially. two or maybe three after the colonozation? I think we'll call them districts, and they'd each have a "mayor" who takes "orders" from the "governers", and each has it's own police precinct. Caskett's is in Camile's District, which does not yet have a name. Once they reach the newverse, the SGC isn't exactly 'permanent home' material, so another district would be opened up. NCIS would become the APD precinct in that one.
Jo is a cop. she should have a precinct in one of the other districts. Actually. what if we've been slowly opening the districts so that only one is open a colonization (and the central tower grouping, more on that later). the second is the one in which Aly's team found the holoroom; it's being opened at the end of 13 beginning of 14. Jo would be given command of the precinct. I don't have anyon else right now, but I do have an idea. it takes a bit of work, so bear with me
we start with Neal and co leaving the gateverse. they are... intercepted by Amber, who is being amazing and making sure everyone is where they will do the most good. she redirects them to Atlantis (which, yes, paradoxy since the Unit still exists at this point, Mozzie will have a *fit*), which will be an SGA-1 story since they met Cassie when the Unit was half-based in Eureka. Call that November. That gives the colony time to adjust to their existance.
then we pop over to the Buffyverse and have Max recruit Elaine. Remember how openly weird the buffyverse is? yeah, Elaine won't be phased by any of the NTA or Atlantis insanity. so first she's with the NTA, and as an NTAgent she can have a couple time travel adventures, maybe pick up a friend. but in Dec she arrives on Atlantis and is allowed to stay. the following Jan a new District is opened up and it's precinct is the Unit (now under Jo's command) and Elaine.
Amber would also redirect the entire group from Sam and Frannie's, but not until the next influx and district opening, which is at least mid 15 if not early 16. then Fraser, the Rays, and Frannie could man that precinct (probably with someone else in there so it's not just a family operation, cos that would not go over well). that's, uh, four out of six districts. the fifth is Refugee's district, which is opened up for 'aliens' who choose to come live in the city. (like the Athosian's after the Signal, which I haven't gotten to yet.) Teyla is the Mayor of that one, but there is no police force worth following.
for my benefit, the districts need to be named now. Refugee's District is a name. one of the other's is Novus (because I will steal gratuitiously from canon I'm refusing to acknowledge). Camile's district is the first completely open colony district. since they start with the plan to open more, maybe it's just alled First District. (I'd say Prime, but no one would ever let that become a real district, would they?). the second one (Jo's precinct) actually gets to vote on a name. they get to be Novus. I don't have other names, so for now I'll just be calling them by what I know about them. so (Fraser's district), (NCIS' district) and (Other district). helpful that. if when we open up (Fraser's district) we also open up (Other district) but don't follow their APD, we'll have all the districts open.
the central tower groupings are just called the Tower, and they are sort of equivalent to DC, the Governers are completely in charge of it. I think it's where most of the military and original expedition memebrs are. those who were there before the first colony influx.
okay, so. for easy reference.
District Mayor Precinct
First Camile Beckett, Castle, Ryan, Esposito, Lanie, (John, Sherlock)
Novus (undefined) Jo, Peter, Neal, Elaine, (Mozzie)
Refugee's Teyla (undefined)
(undefined) (undefined) Fraser, Vecchio, Kowalski, Frannie
(undefined) (undefined) Gibbs, DiNozzo, McGee, Ziva, Ducky, Abby
(undefined) (undefined) (undefined)
Tower Evan, Daniel (undefined)
okay, now. Heightmeyer can't do the evals because she also needs to be evaled. they need to be done by someone who is not assigned to the city. how about Verbeena Beeks. she's currently, I think, working with Sam Beckett at Area 51. she might move to the city at one of the next influxes.

When does Walter retire, and could I have Chloe replace him even though she's a civilian?
The wiki claims he was born in 64 which has to be a fucking lie. Has to. (This makes him only a few months older than Daniel. Pretty sure he's older than that.) Going by that, though, he won't be retiring for another tenish years. Unless you want him to retire early.
If you consider walter's job 'senior technician' then probably not*.
If you consider walter's job 'chevron announcer' then go for it.
*I am assuming this is pre-"aliens made me supersmart" Chloe. I am prooooobably wrong, but I LIVE to be wrong.
I would like it if you could just... oh, guesstimate his age for me, then. So he can retire... er, sometime during Robert's term as SGC commander? Is that possible?
I'm thinking more of his job as "only person who knows what's going on". The technician thing obvious just passes to whoever would ordinarily succeed him. Surely they have someone trained for that. But the "this is who is coming around today, this is your schedule, this is where such-and-such a form is kept" that part of Walter's job. I want to give it to Chloe.
I'm using people without actually using the canon, so this is Chloe approximately as she was in the first few episodes. (You did actually know this at one point. That's why Eli is at Area 51, and TJ is dating Katie Brown, and Young and Rush are having hatesex on their SGA team that Scott and Vanessa are also on, and Camile is in charge of one of the City of Whores' districts.)
He looked about fifty for the whole run of the show. I should be home in about 20 minutes. I'll try to work it out then. But we can probably have him retire at the same time/shortly after oneill. Having chloe take over that job would be great.
And I did know all that, actually. I remember talking to you about putting them in and the convo about the young/rush hatesex.
So it would be during Sam's time running the SGC, most likely. Which works.
I thought you might.
Slashy (10:50 PM): you said when you got online you'd figure out how old Walter really is
Raquel Tabor (10:50 PM): right
Raquel Tabor (10:54 PM): Can he be, like, five years younger than Jack? Does that seem realistic?
Raquel Tabor (10:54 PM): So that'd be
Raquel Tabor (10:54 PM): shit I just knew when Jack was born three days ago, didn't I
Slashy (10:54 PM): 52
Raquel Tabor (10:55 PM): So he was born in 57 instead of 64
Raquel Tabor (10:55 PM): reasonable?
Slashy (10:55 PM): yes, but it doesn't lead to retirement at an time that would be useful to me
Slashy (10:55 PM): shame
Raquel Tabor (10:55 PM): He retires when Jack does or shortly thereafter. Because he is sick.
Raquel Tabor (10:56 PM): But he gets better, because I totally love Walter.
Slashy (10:56 PM): it's terrible that my reaction to "he is sick" was "that disease that makes you age really fast"
Slashy (10:56 PM): er... starts with a 'p'
Slashy (10:56 PM): I can never remember what it's actually called
~
the first Sept story should be Shep's team. let's go to a world where the halfborn aren't considered dangerous. on this world they are revered. the people see them as the next coming of the ancestors. the lights on this world come at the same place every several days and the people go on pilgrimages to it in the hope of being infected. Shep's team choose to stay behind and they encounter two groups. the first is a group of people who don't agree with the majority and don't want to be infected. the other is a group of those who've gone to the lights and been rejected. I think this is a two parter, and we become friends with the minority groups.
one for Aly and one for Young. let's do Young first and give his team an exploring the City story. I don't recall having one of those. so what do you suppose they come across? maybe an Ancient grocery store. I'd assume we've found some before so we expect it to be normal, but we find these jars of stuff we haven't found before. which turns out to have weird side effects when either Scott or Vanessa tastes it. which is a stupid thing to do. it's totes a drug for human biology, but not for Alterans. they should, probably, give it to Morgan and Susan.
~
Slashy (7:48 PM): so I want to get rid of Ford, because I don't like him particularly much (I know, I know, I am weird, okay?) which means he should be infected (but not the rest of Aly's team) and then go back to Earth. where he will inevitably spread it but no one will know that until later.
Slashy (7:57 PM): so I'm thinking Aly's team (currently Aly, Clo'neill, Vala, Ford, and Jeannie) go to this planet and there is fighting or something that ends up with them separated so that Ford ends up alone when the lights come, so that he gets infected but the rest of the team doesn't. he also gets quite injured, so that he goes back to Earth. does this work?
Raquel Tabor (7:57 PM): yes
Slashy (8:04 PM): so the story where Elaine comes to Atlantis. should that be for Shep's team, or Young's, or Aly's?
Raquel Tabor (8:05 PM): Uh Young's
Slashy (8:06 PM): okay. that means the last story for 2013 is SGA-1
Slashy (8:17 PM): okay, a story for Aly's team that's not on the arc. offworld... I don't think we've done a 'find stuff the Ancients left behind' story in a while
Slashy (8:20 PM): does Vala have the ATA gene?
Raquel Tabor (8:21 PM): I don't think so
Slashy (8:21 PM): what about Jeannie?
Raquel Tabor (8:21 PM): Sure.
Raquel Tabor (8:21 PM): Something else that she has that Rodney doesn't (naturally, at least)
Slashy (8:22 PM): so Vala is the only one on Aly's team now who doesn't have the gene
Slashy (8:22 PM): I bet I can use that to do something horrible to her
Slashy (8:28 PM): ...Vala never took maternity leave when she was preggo with Julian
Slashy (8:29 PM): who is now 2 years old
Slashy (8:29 PM): wow, me. way to remember things
Slashy (8:36 PM): so Aly's team find an Ancient artifact on some planet, and it decides that since Vala doesn't have the gene she doesn't belong. so it sends her away.
Slashy (8:38 PM): it sends her to, I don't know, some automated prison where they have to rescue her.
Slashy (8:49 PM): so the story for Shep's team at the end of Dec. will finish up 2013. (except for the Psych Eval stories)
Slashy (8:50 PM): part of me wants to make it part one of a two parter, but I just did a Shep's team 2 parter in Sept
Slashy (8:51 PM): unless it starts with Shep's team but the second part is one of the others...
Slashy (8:51 PM): like, say, part one ends with Shep's team being captured by someone or something, and part two follows the team that rescues them?
Slashy (8:52 PM): obviously an etherahi story. say, a followup to The Uninfected
Slashy (8:53 PM): so Shep's team go back to the planet of the Uninfected
Slashy (8:54 PM): where the entire rest of the infectable population have been infected
Slashy (8:54 PM): and so the Uninfected are actually considered 'bad people' and locked up
Slashy (8:55 PM): so Shep's team is captured by their police and locked up withe Uninfected
Slashy (8:55 PM): and are going to be dragged off to see the lights at the next time they appear
Slashy (8:56 PM): the second part would have to be Young's team rescuing them, since Young's team are already infected and thusly won't be affected by the lights, so there's no risk of getting both teams infected
Slashy (8:59 PM): so, those Psych Eval stories that I keep telling you are yours to plot and you keep saying 'later'...
Slashy (9:01 PM): they go in this order: Shep's team, Young's team, Aly's team, City Proper
Slashy (9:03 PM): during either Aly's team or the City Proper story, that is when Jeannie and Kaleb's divorce happens
Raquel Tabor (9:04 PM): Aly's team.
Slashy (9:04 PM): and Verbeena Beeks (formerly of PQL, currently at Area 51) comes to Atlantis to do the evals, since she isn't assigned to the city and won't need to be evaled herself
Slashy (9:04 PM): that is the extent of my knowledge about the Psych Eval stories
Slashy (9:12 PM): okay, so let's start with. is the City on lockdown during the Psych Evals, or are teams still going offworld?
Raquel Tabor (9:12 PM): teams are still going offworld
Slashy (9:14 PM): so is Shep's team going offworld or exploring the city during their eval story?
Raquel Tabor (9:14 PM): exploring the city. If your team is in the middle of an evaluation, you can't leave the city.
Slashy (9:15 PM): so out in the unopened district. what do they find?
Raquel Tabor (9:15 PM): a pet cemetary?
Slashy (9:17 PM): so then next would be Young's team.
Slashy (9:17 PM): what do they find?
Raquel Tabor (9:17 PM): Ancient board games.
Slashy (9:18 PM): and Aly's?
Raquel Tabor (9:18 PM): a museum.
Slashy (9:18 PM): and the City Proper
Slashy (9:19 PM): (which is Jack'n'Daniel, and McLenka, mostly. as far as people we know and care about.)
Raquel Tabor (9:20 PM): McLenka find a fun sciency-type room. Like, introducing-children-to-technology kinda room
Raquel Tabor (9:21 PM): A Strong Museum kind of room.
Raquel Tabor (9:21 PM): Jack'n'Daniel find a sort of sporting-goods area and play frisbee
Slashy (9:22 PM): kaya
Slashy (9:22 PM): and that is 2013, all finished
~
Tate: there have been no Time Lord genderswap regenerations in the cvs
Moment: we must remedy this situation
Tate: Susan?
Moment: fobwatched
Tate: what if she was already dead when the fobwatch was opened
Tate: that could screw up a regeneration
~
Slashy (5:35 PM): fuckityfuckfuck. I've just noticed the major flaw in the way I've done my pairings.
Slashy (5:37 PM): I decided not to count separate incarnations as more than one person
Slashy (5:38 PM): this becomes a problem when you add genderswap regeneration
Slashy (5:38 PM): because it means that what was het in one incarnation is slash in another
Slashy (5:38 PM): and now I have to go through and separate them out again
Slashy (5:39 PM): this is going to do terrible things to my ratio
Slashy (6:28 PM): 140:129
~
moment: I have two unused actors. one of them is maleSusan, the other is Essering. If I send you pics, can you tell me which one should be which?
racktabboo@rocketmail.com: yes
Slashy (9:35 PM):
media.photobucket.com/image/recent/antipodalarapaima/Misc/michaellegge.jpgSlashy (9:35 PM):
spinoff.comicbookresources.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/jamie-bamber.jpgSlashy (9:36 PM): keep in mind that Susan is dating Shep
Raquel Tabor (9:36 PM): The second is Susan's male form
Raquel Tabor (10:15 PM): I want sherlock to meet neal. Does sherlock ever meet neal?
Slashy (10:17 PM): not in the sequence of Sherlock stories
Slashy (10:17 PM): possibly after they all move to the City of Whores
Slashy (10:17 PM): if Sherlock is doing the same thing there that he does in London, he could work with both Caskett's APD precinct and Jo's
Slashy (10:18 PM): and Jo's precinct is basically the Unit. plus Elaine.
Slashy (10:20 PM): one precinct is Castle, Beckett, Ryan, Esposito, and Lanie. The other is Jo, Zane, Peter, Neal, and Elaine. after the establishment of Jo's precinct, which one would Sherlock be "attached" to?
Raquel Tabor (10:20 PM): both
Slashy (10:21 PM): can he be? I mean, does that work properly?
Raquel Tabor (10:21 PM): He doesn't need to be officially attached to anyone, does he?
Slashy (10:21 PM): I follow the precincts as two separate "series", I mean
Slashy (10:21 PM): does it make sense for him to be in both?
Raquel Tabor (10:22 PM): It's one city and he goes where he's needed
Slashy (10:23 PM): I now have this image of Jo's precinct busting Mozzie for some minor crime in the City of Whores
Raquel Tabor (10:23 PM): do it
Slashy (10:23 PM): I'd need a crime
Slashy (10:24 PM): I don't actually know what sort of things Mozzie does, as I have NO MEMORY
~
Slashy (10:32 PM): SG-1 at this point is Hailey, Jonas, GinnLyra, and Justin
Slashy (10:33 PM): Carter is in charge of the SGC
Slashy (10:34 PM): this when we re-encounter the Aschen and they become our Arc Villain
Slashy (10:34 PM): doesn't need to be the first story, but that's the year we're in
Slashy (10:35 PM): I'm fairly sure I had my SG-1 re-encounter them once in early 2009, but other than that we haven't heard a peep
Slashy (10:37 PM): but on a non-arc path, because we don't need to start on the arc, we're just coming out of declassification year
Raquel Tabor (10:37 PM): hoverboards. have I suggested hoverboards yet?
Slashy (10:37 PM): you have not
Raquel Tabor (10:37 PM): I am now
Slashy (10:38 PM): okay, what about hoverboards?
Raquel Tabor (10:39 PM): Justin rides one.
Slashy (10:40 PM): that's a good opening story
Slashy (10:53 PM): before you go, now that GinnLyra is NOT having an affair with Hailey... can I hook her up with some other woman?
Slashy (11:38 PM): I need another January SG-1 story
Slashy (11:38 PM): I'm doing two stories per month, which gives me 22 stories per year, which is a decent American season
Slashy (11:39 PM): I feel like I haven't really done anything with actually making my SG-1 look like a real team who work together
Slashy (11:40 PM): it's mostly 'ooh, cool tech to play with' or 'let's torture this specific charrie and ignore the others entirely'
Slashy (11:42 PM): that second one is the sort I'm leaning toward tonight
Slashy (11:43 PM): ~frowns~ you and your commenting on Fake News. you make me wonder exactly what I've done with gateverse Fake News. dammit. research.
Slashy (11:46 PM): Ba'al's Great Escape, a couple months later leapingSam, declassification interviews, then Rodney and the end of the world
Slashy (11:46 PM): that is not much
Slashy (11:49 PM): I have an idea
Slashy (11:50 PM): but basically it goes 'a single Aschen infiltrates Earth and creates miracle drug, goes on Fake News'
Raquel Tabor (11:51 PM): only fake news?
Raquel Tabor (11:51 PM): also, which one?
Slashy (11:51 PM): well, no, not ONLY, but I was actually looking for a Fake News story
Slashy (11:51 PM): I haven't decided yet
Slashy (11:51 PM): you wanna pick?
Raquel Tabor (11:52 PM): Depends. Is Stephen's persona a persona in the cvs?
Slashy (11:52 PM): I don't remember whether we decided that or not
Slashy (11:52 PM): it might vary from base to base
Raquel Tabor (11:53 PM): I'm pretty sure they're all not a persona.
Raquel Tabor (11:53 PM): anyway, Stephen
Slashy (11:55 PM): how late into the year should this arc story be?
Raquel Tabor (11:56 PM): august
~
Slashy (11:33 PM): see, while that is all the information I need, I still have no idea what you're talking about
Slashy (11:33 PM): because I don't watch that show
Raquel Tabor (11:34 PM): you should
Slashy (11:34 PM): I have Our Common Disorder, remember?
Raquel Tabor (11:34 PM): after the cvs gets to a point where adding another show would be more trouble than it's worth
Slashy (11:38 PM): ...
Slashy (11:38 PM): you are going to make me watch this show, aren't you?
Slashy (11:38 PM): and then it's gonna end up on the cvs
Raquel Tabor (11:38 PM): it's
Slashy (11:38 PM): and I'm gonna have to make adjustments to keep 42
Raquel Tabor (11:38 PM): she
Raquel Tabor (11:38 PM): marshall is SO GAY
Slashy (11:39 PM): I am
Slashy (11:39 PM): I'm gonna have to figure out the fucking adjustments
Slashy (11:39 PM): damn you
Slashy (11:43 PM): before I forget it again, the cvs question I had earlier was "Is there a reason Remy can't be in the Tok'ra Hosts Programme before she gets Lyra from Ginn?"
Raquel Tabor (11:43 PM): not that I can recall
Slashy (11:48 PM): there are two ways I could make adjustments to the Fandoms list and I've worked out how both of them would work
Slashy (11:48 PM): I blame you
Slashy (11:50 PM): in case you don't remember, this is the second... no, THIRD time I've added something to crossoververse before even *seeing the source material*
Slashy (11:50 PM): all three times have been your fault
Slashy (11:53 PM): since I am doing this because of you I am *once again* throwing it all on you until I've actually seen source material. (which means you need to give me a charrie list [including the modifiers for names that are gonna end up doubles or triples], and a canon break point, a first story [or at least the place on the timeline where a first story would need to go], and then tell me every thing I need to know). Good luck doing all that in seven minutes left before midnight
Raquel Tabor (11:54 PM): YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO IT
Slashy (11:55 PM): well, no, I don't HAVE to, but I have the impulse control of a toddler
Slashy (11:55 PM): and I have to modify the Fandoms list anyway because if it CAN be modified it probably SHOULD be modified
Slashy (11:59 PM): I have to remove Tru Calling from the cvs because I didn't do anything with it and I've moved WAY beyond the point at which I could do anything with it (this is what I get for looking at things with a critical eye). and I'll be honest it was really only on there because Tru and Luc were very pretty, and since BOTH those act(o)r/esses are in other things that are on the cvs anyway... well now I'm down to 41.
Slashy (12:03 AM): since I am now down to 41, I am going to expect all that stuff I told you I was gonna expect from you
Slashy (12:03 AM): not tonight, since obviously it's after midnight and you'll be disappearing shortly
Slashy (12:03 AM): but at some point in the next few days
Slashy (12:06 AM): ...it took me all of 30 seconds to remove Tru Calling from all my documents.
Slashy (12:06 AM): NOTHING in the cvs has EVER been that easy
~
Slashy (2:19 PM): so you remember that rather large amount of info I requested from you 'sometime in the next few days'?
Raquel Tabor (2:21 PM): right
Raquel Tabor (2:21 PM): what base are we putting it on?
Slashy (2:21 PM): gateverse
Slashy (2:22 PM): has to be, because the whole of the buffyverse is britset
Raquel Tabor (2:23 PM): Mary, Marshall, Stan, Jinx, Brandi are the names of the main characters
Raquel Tabor (2:23 PM): Bobby D, who went to chicago, apparently
Slashy (2:23 PM): unless you break canon before that
Slashy (2:24 PM): which you could do, since I have space for blanks as early as 2010
Raquel Tabor (2:24 PM): when in 2010?
Slashy (2:24 PM): and I'm gonna need a modifier for Marshall, because there was a Marshall on the whoniverse
Slashy (2:25 PM): my first Castle story is February 2010
Slashy (2:26 PM): so I guess ANY time during 2010
Slashy (2:29 PM): so where do I put the first story, so I can stick it on the storysheet and say "here's the startingplace"
Raquel Tabor (2:30 PM): Uh, July 2010
Slashy (2:31 PM): Kelly (who has read all the way through the OCs) is trying to help me from the next room over. Please tell her that gay is not an acceptable modifier. She won't listen to me.
Raquel Tabor (2:33 PM): why isn't gay an appropriate modifier? He totally is.
Slashy (2:39 PM): so with the canon break you gave me, is the charrie list you gave me accurate?
Raquel Tabor (2:39 PM): yes
Slashy (2:42 PM): are there canon pairings? (she asks, knowing she should have asked sooner)
Slashy (2:43 PM): so... not really
Slashy (2:43 PM): nothing that affects my ratio, anyway
Slashy (2:44 PM): so I haven't seen the source material and you are in charge of what happens in the cvs until I do, so feel free to assign whatever ships you want.
Slashy (2:44 PM): just make sure you tell me about them so I can put them in the ratio and on the pairs list
Slashy (2:46 PM): also, I need last names for the charries list
Raquel Tabor (2:47 PM): Well. Mary/Mike Faber (who is an FBI guy, not really a maine character), Jinx/Stan, Marshall/Bobby D and at some point there should be Marshall/Mary, because their UST is murdering me.
Raquel Tabor (2:47 PM): Mary, Brandi, and Jinx's last name is Shannon
Raquel Tabor (2:47 PM): Stan McQueen
Raquel Tabor (2:48 PM): Marshall Mann
Raquel Tabor (2:48 PM): Bobby's last name is Dershowitz
Slashy (2:53 PM): the het:slash ratio now reads 141:130
~
Tate Icasa (8:39 PM): okay, it starts with: I have this theory that fobwatching makes you immune to the lights. Because it locks the DNA, it wouldn't allow modifications on so grand a scale. Which means that Susan and the now-humans are immune like the Uninfected are.
Tate Icasa (8:41 PM): and then I think: what happened to all the now-humans fobwatches? they couldn't have destroyed them, so somewhere in Susan's Tardis is there a room full of boxes of fobwatches?
Tate Icasa (8:42 PM): then: what happens if you open the wrong fobwatch? can they differentiate?
Tate Icasa (8:43 PM): so let's say that when they were fobwatching the now-humans Susan's fobwatch was accidentally switched with one, and Shep has been carrying around a Wraith queen's fobwatch all this time
Tate Icasa (8:45 PM): now, when Susan dies. It must be something slow, since Wraith don't regenerate. And it must be offworld, so the queen has enough time for the retrovirus to wear off (it'd have to happen quick as a side effect of the fobwatching, but not too quick or she wouldn't be able to escape)
Tate Icasa (8:46 PM): then we could end part one with Shep and Todd going into the storage room to search for Susan's fobwatch and the rest of the team -- prolly with one of the other teams -- going after the queen in Susan's body
Tate Icasa (8:46 PM): then parttwo Shep finds her and goes after the team, and when they find her there's no time to bring her back to the Tardis and suck the queen out, so Shep just opens her fobwatch
Tate Icasa (8:47 PM): an it's the fight with the queen along with the strain of whatever it is that's actually killing her that forces the genderswap
Tate Icasa (8:47 PM): call it May
Slashy (8:48 PM): give me a month to stick the opening of Refugees District in
Slashy (8:49 PM): that's the one that opens when the lights show up in the Athosian settlement
Slashy (8:49 PM): and all the Athosians migrate to the City of Whores
Tate Icasa (8:49 PM): call it August
Tate Icasa (8:49 PM): and have it as an SGA-1 story
Slashy (8:54 PM): so how long should it be before we realize that Ford is spreading the signal on Earth?
Tate Icasa (8:55 PM): well it'd be a great way to get another of our groups influxed to the City
Tate Icasa (8:55 PM): once they realize it they have to quarantine the exposed
Tate Icasa (8:56 PM): and the best way to do that is to move them into the City
Slashy (8:56 PM): and since we haven't exactly worked out all our other groups and where they are at this point, we should probably wait on it, huh?
Tate Icasa (8:57 PM): yeah, the smaller groups are your job, I have nothing to do with them
Slashy (9:00 PM): by 2013 Zoe is interning with house
Slashy (9:00 PM): maybe they'd be a good group to infect?
Tate Icasa (9:01 PM): er...well, Remy is still with them at that point. We can't infect her, because she has to be normal to get a Tok'ra, right?
Slashy (9:04 PM): why? couldn't the infection get her recalled to the Tok'ra homeworld, and she stays there until they deem her unfixable and take her Tok'ra (Asha, btw) away and send her back, and that's how she's where she needs to be to take Lyra from Ginn?
Tate Icasa (9:04 PM): ...okay, yes
Tate Icasa (9:11 PM): so what are your other small groups?
Slashy (9:13 PM): Castle, House, NCIS. Tin Man.
Tate Icasa (9:17 PM): we've still got to finish the big groups too. SG-1, Atlantis teams, APD. Granted if you can get the small groups done right they merge into those later groups. at least, most of them do
Tate Icasa (9:18 PM): how far do you intend to go with Tin Man before you have the OZ become the newverse? the time frames don't have to match up, because of adjacency
Slashy (9:19 PM): I don't know. since it's not separate like the otherverse
Tate Icasa (9:20 PM): maybe if it was I could figure out how much time actually passes between the events you've already set there
Tate Icasa (9:20 PM): you want I should separate it out?
Slashy (9:24 PM): call it adjacentverse
Tate Icasa (9:33 PM): a month between Restoration and SG-1 first contact
Tate Icasa (9:33 PM): yes?
Tate Icasa (9:34 PM): and then another month between that and the whole Eastwick house appearing?
Slashy (9:35 PM): er, make it two
Tate Icasa (9:35 PM): and then to the finishing of the device and McLenka's trip to figure out what it is?
Slashy (9:35 PM): one
Tate Icasa (9:36 PM): and that's all you've got on there
Tate Icasa (9:42 PM): done
~
Slashy (10:57 PM): ...how has there been no Shep/Todd infidelity in my cvs?
Slashy (10:59 PM): I feel like there SHOULD be Shep/Todd infidelity in my cvs
Slashy (10:59 PM): what do you think?
Raquel Tabor (10:59 PM): yes
Slashy (11:38 PM): Slashy (8:54 PM): so how long should it be before we realize that Ford is spreading the signal on Earth?
Tate Icasa (8:55 PM): once they realize it they have to quarantine the exposed
Tate Icasa (8:56 PM): and the best way to do that is to move them into the City
Slashy (9:00 PM): by 2013 Zoe is interning with house
